My dad LLLLoved warren. Every time I see or listen to Warren I think of my old man. Every time I listen to warren I get a bit emotional especially listening to keep me in your heart for a while. He produced real music. Rip to both him and my father.
Warren Zevon was played through my house all 18 years growing up I was not a fan at my young age but when I went out on my own his music clicked something in my brain and now I can’t go a day with listen to his music, lawyers gun and money is my favorite and excitable boy is my anthem
A more apt song in comparison to his death and diseases would honestly be My Shits Fucked Up where he sings as an old man being told of his terminal illness by a doctor. If i remember, he hadn't been diagnosed when he wrote the song, but I can only imagine how often he sang or thought about its lyrics as he was dying.
I cannot say I was a fan, as i only really knew Werewolves of London growing up….then I saw him on Letterman, and listened to Keep Me in Your Heart, and now that song is in my top ten ❤
He was a great writer and signer i just. Listened to his greatest hits loved his songs i didnt follow him when i younger but at 59 love his work now RIP Warren
Talented man. Not many can say they worked with some of the heavy weights in rock. Let's not forget Werewolves of London! I'm in my 40s and still remember how fun that song is especially when I play it for my little one and sing along! 😊
We used to listen to Zevon in college, almost every night. We had a cool old HiFi sitting next to our living room bar. Anytime I hear Zevon, I think of those fun times. Warren was truly unrecognized by the masses, but those who know him, loved his work.
I especially love Carmelita just now learning it to play with the band we are six dudes in our seventies we are the Earl Street Band this song just wrings out for us ! Just love the southwestern flavor
I miss warren . He thought me to be emotionally honest . I especially think of him in summer , when I imagine a symphony of humming air conditioners singing to Desperados Under the eves .
Literally the most underrated musician of all time. Dude should be regarded as a Rock God but was blackballed to the fullest because of his indulgences. We still love you, Warren. "Excitable Boy" is a perfect record.
I have been a big fan since hearing Werewolves of London... Excitable Boy was the deal sealer in my "get stranded on a dessert island" must haves... underappreciated by many.. but not by me...
“They rode against the railroads, And they rode against the banks And they rode against the governor Never did they ask for a word of thanks” Warren Zevon
Great singer/ songwriter. Not in Hall of Fame? That’s astonishing!!! Also….how did he die … asbestos?? I thought it was cancer derived from a lifetime of smoking?
Warren didn't fall into anything because of his albums the man lived hard ever since he was a teenager. And his song "don't let us get sick" is a lament for the repentant.
"Enjoy every sandwich."
Awesome quote; I say it often😊 his last appearance with David Letterman poignant
My dad use to tell that to me. I see where he got it from because my dad loved him
Saw him in a little club in Frankfurt, Germany. Spoke to him after. He was so nice to us! 😍🤩
A talented and much missed musician who sadly passed away to young. RIP Warren Zevon. 🙏🙏👏👏👏🌹

An amazing gift. RIP, Mr. Zevon.

Hated his violent past. Love his music.

Musical genius. Never really heard of him until now. I do remember many of his songs even though the name didn't notice him too much
My favourite track of his . Is WEREWOLVES OF LONDON. Great track .
Sadly, the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame will never induct him.
At least he made the ballot this last time. Hopefully one day it'll happen.
That's a travesty. I just assumed he was in.
why do people think the RRHOF is a big deal?
@@Nazman06 Well, it's not a kick in the nuts.
Keep Me in Your Heart … is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Played it as we dropped our parents ashes in the ocean.

His music was too witty and intelligent for mainstream radio and mainstream people. If you love Zevon you are in an elite group.

LEGEND!!
I wish you was here today Warren! We miss you and need you. RIP Warren
Aaahhhh oooohhhh 🐺
I've just recently started listening to him.
@@EdCollects It's always cool to go back and listen and discover older music. I was rocking out to the song "Black Velvet" by Alannah Myles earlier.
He was the best
My dad died in ‘03 he was 56. Crazy it’s been 20 years.
The self-titled album is a classic. Shows you that commercial success is often no indication of value.
Da Man!!
Enjoy every sandwich. Love you WZ
Right!
RIP Warren Zevon !!!
He was handsome

In the military he was constantly played in ready rooms, before departing for an op...

the last lyrics he wrote he knew he was going to die
More like dove headfirst into drugs and alcohol.
He is my goddmed favorite songwriter.
