Endowments, tuition fees, research grants, alumni donations and other revenue streams contribute towards financial stability and support their educational aims. As of the 2021/22 academic year, Ivy League institutions generated $40.61 billion in total revenue.
The federal government provides enormous subsidies to the wealthiest universities by paying “overhead” on research grants. Ivy League universities received $1.8 billion for government-funded research grants despite having $192 billion in endowment funds.
Universities take taxpayer grants, endowments, and tuition, and invest it in weapons companies. These weapon companies give HUGE donations to POLITICIANS.
The universities then take the BILLIONS of profits and give them to countries like Israel that then uses the money to buy weapons from those same weapons companies who then GIVE MORE donations to POLITICIANS.
This is why ALL these America POLITICIANS are smearing ANYONE that recommends divestment.
They don’t care who dies so long as the money keeps rolling.

The prolonged response times by the police allowed protesters to set up in large numbers; UCLA failed to activate the police force soon enough until chaos erupted in large numbers overwhelming the police force; this is UCLA's failure to control the situation, AND by releasing those arrested, this MIGHT happen again very shortly!!!

There was no police brutality, I watched the whole thing from start to finish. The police acted with force against those that refused to leave private property and it was the students that were violent against the police. Not one student had an injury, some feigned injury and others exaggerated the force used against them because they refused to leave. As if them disrupting their studies, the studies of all the students in the University, and destroying university property will make the Israeli army change their tactics. This war is bigger then them. They should be sent to Israel to confront those they disagree with and give their solutions to an age old war the greatest minds in history have not been able to solve. 😂

Thank you to the officers and yes it was clear to the citizens of california that nothing was being done in a timely manner and actually was allowed to drag on way beyond when they should have been allowed to step in. Who is keeping track of the injuries caused by the protesters? Can they come on camera and show the other side of this story or are they afraid of being further targeted by hamas supporters?? I'm still going over video to find the woman who looked like a teacher handing spray canisters behind the officers back to a protester behind the barrier, When she looked back and realized her face was on camera she quickly ducked away but there was a clear shot of her uncovered face.
Its pretty simple really college students have protested in America since the 60's. You either allow free speech or you don't. Personally I believe America has an obligation to prevent genocide and we are failing by arming Israel with no accountability.
