I was there and watched as the police did absolutely nothing. I watched employees of liquor store aim AR-15s at a group of armed men trying to vandalize their store and they told me the police were called multiple times but NONE showed help... both parties were ready to start an all out war in a parking lot of Santa Monica and the police did nothing. That’s your elected officials people - they take your money and when you need them they don’t show up. The SMPD needs to be completely defunded and replaced with an actual police department. Shame on the mayor and sheriff (who btw are still in office)
