NLR Boeing Military Edition Flight Seat - First Impressions

  • In this video, I talk about my first impressions after putting the Next Level Racing Boeing Military Edition seat together. I refer to the throttle side and stick side incorrectly a couple of times, but you guys get the point I think. Next step is to take down my current desk setup and move the sim seat up to my man cave office next to the media room. There I'll go through the estimations on the placement of all HOTAS and Flight Peripherals and adjust my keyboard position and seat tilt to see my monitor better.
    Dimensions: Excluding overhead height, the general footprint is 60 inches (5 Ft) front to back with the seat at a comfortable tilt for me. In fact, the headrest doesn't extent past the rear feet. With both plates I have set on each side for HOTAS, it will fit in a 40 inch wide space. 60" x 40" roughly. ~Juice
    If anyone has a question or need a measurement on this seat, drop me a comment below and I'll try to answer within a day or so.
    Stay in touch, Juice.

    Juice, great video, I too have the seat and as I put in my review best all in on solution right now for the price. Could be better, I lowered my center bar to run my center stick and it's still too high to put my extension on, and I do have to slide more forward. The keyboard is on the right side feels good, I had it on the center for a short period of time. What i love the most is all the adjustability the rig offers. Keep the straps off, they do look cool, but just get in the way after awhile and you will not use them more than once. LOL

      You bet...and integrity is something I value in my own reviews. Check out the playlists and I have a few on recent observations of this chair after having it over a year. It's not for everyone, but If I hadn't received this for free to review, and they let me test drive it, I'd say it's worth $800 for what you get. The only drawback is I didn't need about $200 worth of the stuff that is included. For that reason, I recommend people check out the Flight Seat Pro. It's great for people using their desk/monitor stand and have a solution for pedals or don't use pedals at all. nextlevelracing.com/products/flight-seat-pro/

  • @scuzzy2142
    @scuzzy2142 Před rokem

    This is cool but the monster tech one is much more adjustable and modular. This is missing front adapatrs to mount mfds and take off panels. Hopefully they work on that for the V2

    • @MCP2002
      @MCP2002 Před rokem +1

      The MTS pit is also around $2000, or well over that depending on options you choose. If you want the Mts Blackbird seat with the MTS pit you will spend closer to (or over) $3000. Also, it can take 5 months or longer to receive it if you want the seat.
      For the price, the NLR is an extremely good value, at around 1/4 the price and a few days wait vs close to half a year.

      All good, I get ya. If it starts hurting my butt, I’ll push a little bit of negative G to get some relief. The sad part of gaming and flying/driving sims is that humans aren’t supposed to sit for too long at a spell because of circulation problems. They say sitting is the new smoking for health impacts. I’m not sure if I’ve ever sat more than 2.5 hours in a sortie. I have this other chair that is really comfortable and my wife wants me to get rid of it.
