A not so young PwP (turn 80 this August), diagnosed in June 2023 I find a lot to relate to in what Carl says here. There is life to be lived at every age.

Never surrender, apparently new studies are looking for a cure. We all hope they succeed to.
Wish you to progress as low as possible.
    Best.

Thankyou for your honesty . This has been uplifting. My husband was diagnosed in Feb and everything you’ve said is helpful 😊

Oh my goodness thank you for posting this video! You were able to articulate something that I could not really put into words. How exhausting it is to try to be normal! I am fairly recently diagnosed but I've had symptoms for years. It's a bit of a relief to actually have a name to put to it and try to strive to understand how to best live my life, but you spoke so perfectly about how exhausting it can be to just act normal! It is hour to hour!! Thank you for speaking about the apathy too as well! Sometimes I feel like I have to fake being happy when I feel nothing at all and then I'm not being true to myself. I realized right before my diagnosis how bad this was getting. I am a bird watcher and my favorite bird is the blue jay. And I had a new pair come to my feeder that I had just put up on my deck and normally I would be texting, snapping pictures etc. And I remember thinking oh there's a new pair of Jays. I felt nothing. Your video has encouraged me to try to befriend others with PD that understand ❤

Fascinating and very insightful. I learnt a lot from this. I can certainly resonate with some of your feelings whilst on my own journey of illness. 👍💪🙏
