How about biggest bodybuilder Golem? He seems popular right now.
Could you make a video on Mike Mentzer strenght??
Love these videos but you definitely left out one of his best stats! For a period of years in strongman, Mark was unbeaten in any deadlift for rep events. This lasted years and he has beaten the best in the world at deadlift for reps in nearly all conditions. This is a truly amazing feat for anyone, then recognizing his age at the time compared to his competitors as well as who those competitors were at the time. Truly a legend of the sport!
Good point!
I think Big Loz was one that beat him
@Peter Shortland I find that hard to believe tbh. At max weight 💯 Loz beat him as he got 435kg to Mark's 420kg. But for reps, no I'm sure Mark has comfortably beaten Loz most times. Mark also was always better for reps at lighter weight, 320 to 350kg. Almost unbeatable at one time. At WSM for instance when it's been 370kg, he's struggled a lot more and plenty of guys could beat him, even back when he was at his best in deadlifting. 2010-2016 time. He's very conditioned.
@@baby_jade94 it was Big Loz, but it was a timed speed deadlift
He is the GOAT of masters!
Big Z entered the chat *Not happy* 🤣
Man's an absolute legend. When it comes to longevity he's frankly the GOAT.
He looks like a healthy 6'4" 308 lb athlete. Many of the guys his height are over 350lbs. He's strong and also healthy which is very inspirational.
the definition of old man strength
One of the strongest men of all time, by far. This is for obvious reasons
Had the pleasure of meeting Mark once very briefly at a bar in Manchester. He really is a total gentleman. His grip strength must come from his massive hands, mine disappeared into his when we shook hands, like a massive bear paw. If there was a strength athlete hall of fame, Mark thoroughly deserves a place. Total legend
I've seen even other strongman competitors measure their hands against Mark's and he dwarfs them.
There should be a strength hall of fame.
@@JuggoJuggo i confirm..i have Clone hands of LASHA TALAKHADZE ...and Mark dwarf my really !!!!
His hands are 10.5 inches long palm to tip of middle finger. His hands are literally some of the largest hands in the world, very close to Shaq size.
There were two Masters categories this year, with the 50+ category being introduced for the first time in 2022. Mark won the 50+ category handily, but when people talk about the World's Strongest Master, they're usually referring to the 40+ category winner (which was Žydrūnas Savickas, like last year).
It was introduced last year or 2019 can’t remember
Mark wasn't allowed to compete in the over 50s until these year despite being 56 🤣
@@Megan-el1ie dude still shouldn’t be allowed gotta put him back in the 40s
@lonestar2495 that's not how it works because there different weight classes for a reason
The Plasterer from Blackburn! If he competes at the upcoming WSM he will be the oldest competitor ever beating out Odd Haugen
I'm sure he'll be there
He shouldn’t get invited any more
@@lonestar2495 why
@@justaguyfromreddit why invite someone who you know won’t make the finals and doesn’t need the experience anymore he taking a spot from someone who deserves it more and can get the experience at WSM
It's crazy how strong he is given his age
This man is my hero
MARK FELIX IS MY SPORT IDOL.. HE IS SO PERFECT
Mark Felix is an absolute phenomenon. It beggars belief how he can be that strong and look that good, and be that good at his age. He's inspirational.
Mark felix is just a strong ass dad.
Crazy how well Mark can still compete with younger guys as well as dominating his age class. Really enjoyed watching the Giants Live World's Strongest Nation recently where he managed to get the best time of all the athletes in the first 2 events, although admittedly they were his specialties.
Always think of him as an old guy. I see him born in 66 and realise I’m not that much younger.
He seems a genuinely nice person.
Of all strongman I respect Mark Felix the most.
This guy is the 🐐 I'm a big fan of his
a great sportman Kidness and smart....not just a muscular behemot. MENTALITY OF STEEL..
MARK THE G.O.A.T🏋🏼♂️👍
Well said
You should have titled this video "Mark Felix.... Your Argument Is Invalid "
I first saw him on TV in 2005 (I think) performing in World's Strongest Man and although he didn't win, he was absolutely in a class of his own on the deadlift. It's really great to see that he keeps getting better as he gets older. What a CHAMPION!
An inspiration
Felix: An absolute legend!
A Legend !
Thank you, how can you not live Mark Felix 😊
I was over the moon for him when he won the masters comp, awesome to see him at the top of a podium.
Recently I wondered if I'm too old to be doing judo competitions at 44, then I remembered what Felix is still doing at 56! 💪🏼
One of the best video I have ever seen In my life
I'm not sure that's true but thank you anyway😂
I just got back from the Myrtle Beach competition. I went for the soul purpose of seeing and meeting him, in person. We did not meet, but it was great to be within 50 feet of him. I was able to watch him on the deadlift machine. He finished at just over 700 lbs, at age 57. He is stronger than most. And, I think it is because he also works 5 -6 days a week as a plasterman. Weights are great, but hard labor will ALWAYS give you the working muscle edge.
absolute monster
Just an absolute beast and can't wait to see him in Brian Shaws grip strength ladder.
Even if he stopped competing today, it's incredible how competitive he's remained over the years! But I wonder if he can keep it going into his 60's?..... That would be epic!
I've always been a fan of mark felix watching him at Christmas doing world strongest man for so many years it's become tradition cheering him on from the couch with a tub of chocolates 😂😂 for sure though the humblest easy going power house of a man ever to do it.
A legend
The miracle man!
Absolutely!
He is a monster
Mark is one of the greatest, the man is always there always competing even with the younger guys he still holds his own. Definitely a true spokesman of the sport. I wonder what his Hercules hold will be in 2061
LEDGEND!!!! MR MARK FELIX!!
Insane!!
Ótimo vídeo parabéns
Day 2 of asking for a video comparing Bill Kazmaier and Big Z's strength.
Can you do Kurt angel next????
His best wsm finish was 4th I'm pretty sure. I definitely wonder what could have happened if he had started strongman earlier.
I wonder if there is a competitive lifespan for strongman that maximizes at around 20 years? For example, what if Mr. Felix started out at age 20 instead of 37? What milestones would he have achieved and would he still be going strong at 56 - or retired by now?
Of course he would you only get weak if you stop lifting
@@nicholasdimedio302 wear and tear is a thing. You can only compete at a high level for so long until your body starts breaking down. That's true for any sport. Just keep lifting has nothing to do with it.
He wouldn’t be weaker wear and tear only happens when you train too much smart people know when to rest
@@nicholasdimedio302 dude you're clueless when it comes to training or anything athletic. If what you say is true then every athlete would just compete forever because their programming was on point. Just stop.
@@wigletron2846 I didn’t say but okay
He left is mark in strong man ! 🐐
*a Mark
They shud change it from the Hercules hold to the Felix hold 💪👍
Good vid
Thank you, pleased you enjoyed it
Lets deadlift 400 kg barehands :)
Wow, I wish I could have seen my Grandfather perform feats of strength. My Dad shared a story that when VICE GRIP PLIERS came on the market, their traveling salesman visited my Grandpa Talley at the State of VA mechanics shop. He didn’t realize how to adjust them, squeezed with one hand, and bent them, holy cow!. They were not cheap imports,t hey we’re 1920’s USA steel. As far as I know, he never lifted weights, but could put a massive engine and transmission hooked together, into the back of a truck by himself. I wish I could have been there. One other feat that’s not strength but takes pure grit. He could take a V-8 car, start the engine, put his fingers on the spark plugs and choke the car down. Them old timers, tough isn’t the word. He could also pinch the rim of a 55 gallon drum full of oil in front of him, lean back and lift that barrel off the ground. Mark is tough, grip is Legendary but I think my Grandpa Talley may give him a run for his money. Imagine if he would have actually trained with weights to get strong? This was all natural, no steroids, no scientific nutrition supplements. Beans, cornbread, biscuits, fat back, etc.
If he started in 90s, he could been wsm, him and megneus ver magnusson or karlson
Mark Felix vs Mark Hendry
Strengh god
its said that grip strength is a gauge of overall strength
I believe that a lot of it comes down to hand size, which is fully genetic and correlates with height. Men under six feet tall have set bench press world records but I'm not sure if their grip is all that...and sometimes the other way around. Felix' bench is pretty generic for high level shot putters and the like. Leonid Taranenko who held the jerk and clean world record for three decades was barely six feet tall...he was considered too short to be a super heavyweight. I don't think he could deal with the frame size of the likes of Felix in arm wrestling or grip strength.
Strengf Universe
You watch if he touchs 60 he won't be allowed to do that because last year he didn't do masters 50s 😆
Nick Best when?? 👀👀
_Why do I hear holy music?_
Definitely not, it starts soft and builds into house
Someone clearly doesn't frequent Big Loz Official. >_>
Is his only real comp in his age group Nick Best??
At the moment
As strong as Colin wants him to be.
Big z vs thor pls😭😭😭😭😭
I have completed 2 video's the first looks at static strength, the second at dynamic events. The first video will be released next week
@@StrengthUniverse 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
@@StrengthUniverse sry for not being patient
Lol, he’s not 193 cm, he’s 188 at most
He is 193cm. giants-live.com/athlete/mark-felix/
And Eddie Hall is 186 AT MOST!!!
Thor is 6'8" at most!!!
Shaw is 6'6" at most!
Most of their heights are inflated, but when compared to actual people, their heights are less than listed.
That 530lb bench press looked wayyyy too easy. He easily had another 50-75lbs in him. He probably stayed at the weight to avoide injury at his age
The bench press in the video was just over 400lbs
This lifts were no where close to his best though he had a lot left in bench and squat
The lifts shown in the video are substituted as shown on screen
@@StrengthUniverse oh sorry mate I didn’t see it 👍
