- Mel Gibson is out and Tom Hardy is in! Mad Max finally returned after a 30 year hiatus with Fury Road. This time around he's tangled himself up with Immortan Joe, a warlord of the wastelands on a vengeful quest to retrieve his stolen brides from Charlize Theron's Furiosa. And it turns out it's a pretty good movie with all its stunts and cars and punching and explosions and whatever. Thanks for checking out our review

I had a unique viewing of this film. Leaving the theater in Austin I walk into the lobby and Tommy Wiseau is there taking pictures with people who bought a pair of boxer shorts he had at a table.
This movie is incredible. I had no hopes coming in, and wow was I blown away!

I want to meet the people who think this movie is bad. Not in a condescending way, just out of curiosity.
Worked with an amateur filmmaker who insisted the movie was garbage. We agreed on 99.9% of things ranging from art to politics and yet this opinion made me question everything about him.
@@AdrianVersusTheWorld I find that interesting. I think I understand the politics, but I would argue it is so tangential. The groups identify by water, guns, oil, etc., but it is so surface level. I don't think Miller is saying anything. If that movie "has politics", then every movie ever made has politics to some degree.
The art, I don't know. It's personal opinion of course. I think it's beautiful. There are shots from the movie I would put on my wall. The blend of real world stunts and CGI is amazing. A lot of the world of people looks ugly, but I think that is the point. They do a really good job at making it seem authentically ugly.
Yeah, I don't get it. Especially the politics. I think what people mean when they say "this movie has politics", is that it has something they disagree with. People claimed Top Gun was "just a summer movie" without politics. I love that movie, but it is drowning in politics.

That's not how you pronounce Angharad! It's a Welsh name. It sounds like Anne-hah-rad. It's a lovely name and popular for women where as I promise you Anger -had is not.
Let me help with a couple of linguistic issues that crop up frequently... the letter 'H' is pronounced 'aitch' (it appears like that in a dictionary). Also, in the word 'aesthetic', the 't' forms part of the 'th' sound, not the 'st' sound.
