  • We can’t outrun choice, change, or circumstance…but we can learn to embrace them. Mastering change is one of the most valuable skill sets an internationally minded person can develop. Change is constantly happening, especially now. Do we dare embrace the opportunity through self-leadership? Pete Rogers holds a master's degree in clinical psychology from Loyola University, Maryland. He has expertise in working with international school students and their parents to create emotionally vibrant and happy families. He is also passionate about working with corporate partners to help their employees thrive with ongoing programming related to improved mental health, charismatic communication, and navigating conflict with purpose. Currently, he serves as Director of Counseling for Community Center Shanghai as well as CEO for the Rogers Consulting Group. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Loved these lessons on self-leadership! They were original as well as transformative. Consistency over intensity can prevent burnout! Inner motivation is often not discussed enough and can be incredibly powerful in how we see ourselves as leaders. I love the idea of practicing gratitude, it is absolutely essential in framing our thinking to see more of the abundance in our lives and the world. I wish lessons like these were taught to youth in schools!

Good speech, should of given credit to Tony Robins for his “what you can achieve in a month, 2month, etc,” portion.

    Thanks for this.
That being said, The volume control on the entire speech was bad though. In some places too soft and some places too loud.
There are better videos / talks on leadership than this too.

Gratitude comes before knowing Jesus. Person cannot be grateful without Jesus.
