Is it a glass or plastic headlamp ..?
Can the sand paper do the same to plastic headlamp?

This is Plastic, glass wont fade and yellow plus you cannot do anything to glass

I don’t use adhesion promoter, as long as it is prepped really well and around the edges, never had it come back or peeling.

No need to polish them before spraying clear coat? I see all other tutorials people polish them with a polishing machine

People polish them when they do not apply clearcoat…only lasts temporarily

Sets like concrete, its not the proper UV clears to put on head lights....
