As a lgs, I think it's amazing how much you talk about supporting businesses like us. I always aim to be below market value and beating the big box stores! Since we are located in Oregon, we don't have sales tax either!
Couldn't find a hub to play all of our favorite games if it wasn't for the LGS. Keep up the good work!
@AshenWingzTCG that's why we plan on carrying 6 different tcg games and sports cards! Thank you! We are in a small town but we do online too to spread the love
This is so weird because I used to buy individual packs to make decks….way way way back then. I used to trade out the cards I didn’t want with friends, then make my deck(s). Buying pre-configured decks wasn’t a thing until like 2011.
I feel like buying precons isn't a terrible thing. It allows for the consumer to not have to get a list together and hope it works out, someone did all the work for them. But I'm sure deckbuilding was way more fun using just packs!
@@AshenWingzTCG Oh I have no issue with precons. It’s funny though when on Friday Night Magic ya see a table and five of the seven players playing use the same exact decks. Like they don’t even configure their decks. They’re scared that if they change or modify the cards it will “break” the deck. They really are less into deck building and knowing the mechanics of the game as much as knowing the mechanics of THEIR CARDS.
@@AshenWingzTCG It seems so foreign that the level of experimentation has been removed. It went from “cool. Random cards. I hope I can make some semi-working deck out of this.” To “oh boy what cards can I resell from this draft pack. Time to buy a preconfig cuz WOTC told me this combo was good.”
@@AshenWingzTCGlet me dial this back a bit. I am not against preconfigured decks. I’m just confused that no one seems to spin their own anymore. I think preconfigured decks are great for teaching someone how to play. I still have my 2011 welcome decks.
@Zestypanda Yeah its mainly for people who are just looking for even playing field games from what I know. Or maybe they have wanted a themed deck like that and never knew how to build one until the precons drop. I personally always tell people if they don't have an idea for a deck, get a precon and build off of that. Some people just get them for the "in the moment" experience and almost never touch them after the fact as well, which is sad
Nice!! The target / wal mart retail lineup 🎉
Thank you very much. It is presented so well too. Great, positive work.
Thank you! Its a bit outdated but it still covers quite a bit
Thanks great explanation
i’m new to mtg, im wanting to start playing with cards, but don’t know how to build a deck. do i need to buy a commander pack? or can i just buy “booster packs” and build a deck like that and then get “theme booster packs” to better the deck in building? or how does it work ?
Building a deck comes in many forms. First, I'd find out what format I'm playing. Are you interested in commander?
@@AshenWingzTCG yes but at the moment i’m just building a “normal” deck not a commander atm. i just want to learn the basics first. i recently bought two kimigawa packs and a kimigawa theme booster pack but idk if i can build a deck with that.
@@alexsanchez61 I would first look through all of the cards that you get from those packs and see what interests you. You will definitely need more cards from other sets as well to make at least a standard format deck.
@@AshenWingzTCG got you. i appreciate the information!
13:27 That is expensive!
Yeah no kidding xD Considering how much they go for now. Its so much extra packaging though and for the price, its still so much more worth it to buy a box
@@AshenWingzTCG On TCGplayer now it's about $20 shipping included . Another thing , so for Black Friday I bought 2 cases of Kamigawa Draft $71 and 1 case Midnight Draft $59. $40 off each case I saved $120, but they were ALL STOLEN!!! Amazon said it was delivered but , it is not here! and they wont resend at that price! I am so mad!
@@MichaelSuperbacker Oh damn! I'm sorry to hear that. Normally Amazon is good about returns but it seems they dont cover theft
Thank you for the video.
Are these single booster packs a US thing?
The mtg packs have changed as of this last set. Now there is only Play Boosters and Collector Boosters
17:20 you need fingernails :D XD
There are to many different sets and rules and modes for newbies to get into this, unless they know a seasoned player
