    I think My Mom's first washing Machine lasted 30 years. She washed my cloth diapers and everything in it. I am 54 now.

      They built them to last at least that long back then. It's a shame the absolute garbage they are today

      You won't get anything close to that longevity from anything on the market today. You'd be lucky to get a solid 5 - 10 years at best.

    I’m tired of replacing the washing machine every 5 to7 years. Purchased a Speed Queen this time due to reviews and comments from other owners. So far happy. The thing is so heavy it ha yet to shut down due to unbalanced load.

    I agree with Steve the old equipment was made better easy to use and last much longer and if you had a problem easy to fix and cost much less to repair.

    Hi Steve. Wish you were closer. Due to a sprained wrist, needed help of a plumber today. $225/hr. Ouch.

    As we get olda. I have to hand spin my old washing machine to help it on spin mode large load. That means pushing trigga with a pencil, and knowing after how many minutes i have to fetch in there.. LOL Probably making the Milorganite fertilizer like Milwaukee, Wi does.

    I copied Steve. I use blue tape which is thicker, and blue dope on top of the tape and it seals every time.

    Wait until the washer or dryer breaks it’s going to cost him big bucks all in one units are no good

    • @gettogo0159
      @gettogo0159 Před 7 měsíci

      @edwardkuntush9339 >>> Well as expected it all depends on how much room you got to work with.... so less room all in one machine needed but if you have room two at all times. I mean if your going to the one machine, repair/on call insurance is something you'll need to build into your costs which is very little & costs a alot less than one repair but covers you for many after.
      A tip to the wise minds out there! 🧐Modern white goods are built to fail to keep manufacturer profits up.......

    The new washers are horrible because the Federal government (EPA) keeps mandating requirements like the thing barely uses any water. So a machine that used to fill and have a 20 minute wash cycle, now uses only 2 cups of water and beats the hell out of your laundry agitating for an hour.

    A $10 heat gun loosened up a nut that I couldn’t budge even with my largest wrench.

    Next time you have this issue, put heat on it, torch for 12 seconds, than it will spin off.

    Ventless dryer is probably a heat pump dryer. It doesnt need an outside vent. But according to research it takes longer to dry clothes. So i guess theres a trade off. Seems like a good idea. But dont know

      Assuming it's another name for a condensing dryer, that collects the moisture and pumps it into a tank or out to a drain. We have had them in the UK for years.
