LOL! "Not tryin' to save this top, are ya?" as he's hammering away on it. Steve is the best, seriously
Good enough for this neighborhood
His commentary is hilarious
@bindig1 > That what call a knock down priced job, Steve & Miss molly supervising didn't you know. Steve doesn't waste time getting to the issue at hand... Miss molly (stern) makes sure of that clicking her feet keeping Steven on the clock! 😉😆
As with everything theirs stage/levels that can be charged, Mr home owner playing plumber (he tried) was lucky that is was a small leak - if you got old or unknown pipework use caution & prepare for the worst case event, other wise known as... buy more than you need. Often it's quicker to rip out & replace a larger area or for a future upgrade ready to go.🤗
I thought the same thing! Although, it must not have been broken at that point or he would've stopped asking it they wanted it lol
This couple are definitely sold on you. This video is one of your greatest hits videos!
They definitely deserve to be in Top 10. He was using Steves lines "shit show".
Love your honesty, Steve. You don’t try to up charge customers. You tell it to them straight.
There once was a plumber named Lou,
Whose pipes and leaks he knew just what to do.
With wrench in hand,
He'd fix any land,
From dripping faucets to gurgling spew.
Hey Steve, your customers obviously watch your videos, and enjoy “THE DATING ESCAPADES OF STEVE LAV”. Too funny. Thanks for the videos, lotta fun.
Makes me wonder if he wanted that vanity put in right away, she said no we're not spending the money right now, so he manufactured the leak!
Experience has taught me to assume the worst in people lol
Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again ya’ll. 👍👍. You went there to stop a flood and then changed a vanity, lol. Great job Steve!
Oops! Forgot to put the pipe flanges back where the pipes come up through the bottom shelf. Not a big deal. They can always get some split ones.
Lol.. Hey Steve! My old man use to say that. "Glued, screwed and tattooed". 👍 That vanity is toast mama! 🤣
If a valve is leaking don't f-ck with it unless you know how to isolate it!
Steve laugh here 😂
A professional on the job Steven love your stuff 🏴
you can feel every bump in that truck eh? hahahah
When I was new quiet now everything's rattled in!lol
Real fans of your channel Steve, reminiscing about past videos, that awesome! Big fan from the RGV Steve, keep the videos coming friend 💥💯☝️👍👌🫵
Steve and miss Molly working again y’all!
Not a fan of shark bite valves, but Joe homeowner should have one on hand with those crusty main valves. Something goes sideways, even with water blowing out, just open the valve and push it on and close valve. Then you have some time to make permanent repairs and remove the shark bite.
Wow.. dovetail joints in the cabinet drawers.
Real wood cabinets are the only way to go IMO.
Customer didn't watch enough of Stevens videos before trying the job!!Wife said" stop call him back! " lol
"Oh yea, the mad dinuh" 😂😂
The mad diner haha
Clean install Steve!
in Australia our water main tap is always located on the front of the property and easy to spot. and even kids know how to turn it off.
Tip of the blue flame. Dad taught me that. Another enjoyed video!
These customers are a riot...like comedy central
Great Video. Thank you for sharing. Have a nice weekend
Howdy Steve and Molly
Another fine job. The water leak job should be interesting.
Nice job
Hello Steve!
I like the solvent glued traps.
I’m surprised that quarter-turn shutoffs weren’t installed instead.
I was thinking the same thing. Also, wondering if heating up those multi-turn valves with the stem and internal washers still installed damages them...
@@jackpine4347 Valves should never be closed after installation. They deteriorate as the water flows after several years. Always use the main shut-off (slowly), it's designed for closing against water pressure.
@@Parkhill57 I'm not understanding your comment, sorry. The whole point of shutoff valves is to shutoff the water if you need to do work on the fixture. Otherwise, why bother installing them? The only reason to shutoff the main is if you are replacing a shutoff valve on a fixture on a system without a distribution manifold.
@@jackpine4347 Use them only in emergencies. They are so cheap they deteriorate after minimal use. I think they are required by code, but a lot of code stuff is just a way to make money off of home owners.
Hi hi🇬🇧
We charge around 500 just for the shut-off valves . The drain would be extra!😊
That's just savage. I only make 400 a week lmao
@@TheRAMBO9191 I know Plumbing is very expensive but we get this all day everyday customers give us a tip afterwards and say they'll call us if they need anything else it's crazy I know
Emergency remodel $200.00 per hour ,all day long!!
125 an hour is cheap. Around here, it's 375 just to show up and 225 hour
thats ridiculous and just ripping people off. They don't have that much overhead
People try to save money in this economy and do it themselves, just doesn't work out sometimes. 😢
it does when you try hard and learn.
Joe Homeowner 🏡 🛠️ strikes again! 😂
I bet your rates are reasonable. I've had to pay Roto-Rooter rates before. On a Saturday night several years ago, my main sewage lines clogs up and I'm sick and have the squirts. I could have saved money by waiting until the next day but when you gotta go, you gotta go! Fun was had by all.
Whoever drilled the holes through the vanity for the supply lines did a good job--not much of a fudge factor!
There's a ball valve on the meter and you shut off the gate valve, or globe??
I used those shitty plastic sink faucet pipes with the plastic ferrules once. The hot water one worked it's way loose in the middle of the night and made a mess. No more junk.
👍👍😉😉
Not sure I would call that a flood
Funniest channel on YT...full stop
first thing i did was replace all the old shutoffs with quarter-turns
This is why I always call "the guy."
I have had flexible lines burst and flood the place.
Hey Steve, which faucet brand do you like the best with life time warrenty.
Exacty why I would never trust any kind of compression fittings or sharkbites etc, only solder in stuff for me
Shark bites are fine I've had them on for years no problem. Especially for older houses where your gonna gut the whole thing in 5-10 years. As long as it doesn't go behind a wall your good.
It's a good idea to have a few for Sunday night emergencies.
I keep 1/2" SharkBite end caps on hand if I need to cap off a pipe due to a leaking valve, etc. The fact that you can easily put them on and remove them when you do the final repair is a real plus.
Can't believe you are still using gate type shutoff valves instead of 1/4 turn ball valves. What, did you stock up years ago?
They’re globe type stop valves not gate.
Ball valves and globe valves are the same thing; they are both turned on or off by a single 1/4 turn. Those are gate valves. Look at around 16:40 mark how many revolutions he turns the valve. You cannot do that with a ball/globe valve.@@mcroley591
125.00 DOLLARS as soon as your husband called and i got into the truck.
This guy doesn’t no where the main shut off is in his own house ?
I would have charged them extra for talking..
I've noticed you've not uploaded in 5 days I hope everything is ok
Easy fix become a contractor and pay the 3 or 4 hundred thousand for the house and deal with 30 subcontractors.
Please, homeowners, let him do his job. Be quiet.
first like!!! do get a hat steve?
She was a leaker mama, now she ain't..
Why do you ware gloves if they have holes in them ?
Wear
because he's working.
Joe Homeowner! Ain't no Taj Majal after that flood!
She is a leaker
Shes a leaka*
Flood moma
It would be nice if Steve would do all the work at the same time in one trip, rather than saying that he's gonna come back next week, because if he makes two trips it's gonna cost the homeowner more money since Steve charges money for driving to the homeowner's house.
Most guys whack per hour I think his rates are reasonable
He has other customers on the list, and they were an emergency. I've done the same and give people a discount on labor
SHE'S A LEAKER!!
Dumbas* 😨😨😨
Basic plumbing is not difficult at all
Hey Steve why do u always grunt and make noises when u work have u medical issues
It's called getting older
Its called use your 🧠!!😂😂
Working men make those noises. Those sounds are unassociated with keyboard movements.
Hello Steve!
