  • Practice tips for Boccherini's Minuet. (At the beginning, when I say that I use that bow stroke on every note, it's a huge overstatement. It IS an important bow stroke that gets lots of use in this piece, but I should have been more precise about exactly where it is used. I apologize for confusion this may cause.)

    • @felixlucena
      @felixlucena Před 9 lety +1

      Kira M I think is the same principle when you write in a keyboard and you know where is the key in your mind, even if you cant see it... Just... practice... what i do... trying to do the same i do with the keyboard on the fingerboard

    • @herbigboy
      @herbigboy Před 9 lety +1

      Kira M you could get a tuning app

      Lightning Rocraft How acurate are they?

    • @hidike
      @hidike Před 8 lety +2

      +Kira M what I found a good way to practice these shifts is the same Abigail showed in some previous videos, and the same my teacher taught me: first practice the shift itself (last note of first position an first note of second position). Slowly and then going faster. I help myself with a tuning app as well. Then practice the notes in the second position (slow than faster), than the shift back / to next position. And only after that I play it all together.
      You start from scratch every day, like doing a puzzle: the first day it's a tremendous work. Next day it's a bit easier, and so on. In two weeks you do the puzzle in 1 minute.
      It's working for me.
