overwatch 2, max payne 3 easter eggs, attention to detail, call of duty, captain eggcellent - Hry
I found another detail in mortal kombat 11. One of the Terminators costumes is him with a bunch of battle scars. He has blood on his face, a huge wound near the top of his forehead, and his endoskeleton arm isn’t covered in human-like skin anymore. The detail is when you punch or just hit someone with that endoskeleton arm. It won’t make a normal punching sound. It will make a very metallic, robot-like sound, which makes sense since your hitting someone with a metal arm.
It does the same thing when you preform a KB. It’ll make a metal bending sound instead of breaking bones.
Another thing I wanted to add is the voice of your characters will be different depending on your costumes. When they're wearing masks, their voice would be audibly muffled. Without those they sound normal. Keep in mind a lot of games do not implement this details
I HEARD THAT TOO,SUCH A GREAT DETAIL IM GLAD YOU BROUGHT IT UP!
Nice pointing out 👌
That's great attention sir.
you're* hitting
Body armor depending on its level is that effective against certain calibers, but it’s important to know that the more you get hit in the same spots, the more likely rounds will go through.
It also varies depending on what its made of. Ceramic is more durable, but kevlar is lighter.
Also obviously I like that the heavy armor guys fall over or recoil cause it still fucking hurts to get hit by a bullet even with a plate carrier
In the clip, he uses a pistol and the enemy has a plate carrier (i think). How many pistol shots can that take and will the person fall over like that? I'm asking because I've never been shot while wearing one of those.
And also the fact that the larger the bullet, the harder the armor plate will smack back against your chest when the bullet hits it.
@@tetov1620 Depends on the size of the pistol round, how far the shooter is from the target, what the plates are rated for, and what you're wearing under the carrier...
Here's a detail: in left 4 dead 2, you can find construction sites with diagonal support wood on some of the incomplete walls. If you shoot them, the wall falls down, allowing you to walk through it.
what map
@@frigid27_ No mercy
Hard rain
@@cyka_blyat1233 no mercy doesnt have woods like this?? jts the gas station you can shoot to reach a second level of the building on the right, good camping place for the wave ngl
@@rikuyuno241 after using the elevator you can go in the unfinished floor in the building and most of obstacles are made of woods and plywoods you can literally shoot them and making a way, it works every time being chased by a tank in small area
@@cyka_blyat1233 ohhh then yeah those works, i was thinking literal breakable walls
TBH I like the Link's Awakening remake, but I miss the originals where stealing from the shop not only got you killed, but also changed your name to THIEF for the rest of the game
Thats still in the game. Marin still calls you thief if you steal in the remake
@@GarentineGamingnot just him, your profile name gets changed to thief so everyone will call you a thief
In Prototype 2, If Heller stands on the edge of any building, he'll actually go 1 or 2 small steps back in order to not fall off the building.
"Woh, almost fell to de... Oh yeah"
@@masterwizard8090 lol
About the body armor, it's made to stop a bullet up to a certain caliber, depending on the class of body armor. Such as class 3 plate are meant to stop rounds up to 7.62x51mm (A full-powered round) but every shot to the plate decreases the effectiveness even if the round is a puny pistol round like 9x19mm.
I notice a little detail while playing Yakuza like a dragon, when we see character with glasses, like Ryo Aoki, the developer didn't have to but when camera is moving on the side you can actually see that magnifies. Oh and another little detail (I don't remember if you already covered) but in phantom pain, on bigger roadblock with antennas and radio talking, if you put down the electric power poles their radio doesn't work anymore
The body armor not only did it protect him but he react to every shot and was getting push back and that a detail you could of mentioned
Ooo.
I feel like thats insanely common in games.
That's just the euphoria physics engine doing amazing work (basically a physics engine designed entirely around the human body. An AI driven physics system first debuted in Force Unleashed)
More games need euphoria for the inverse kinematics and whatnot
@@DMGaina Especially games where the difficulty increases and the enemies start wearing armor.
@@DMGaina GTA IV Death cams where the best
I found a MW2 Easter egg on the multiplayer map Taraq, on the one side of the map on top of the destroyed building, the teddy bear that Infinity award is known for is on top
In shotgun farmers when you use the hay gun and shoot the ground it has a chance to fire a metal rod because of the saying finding a needle in a hay stack
in Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath, the unit's voice lines change depending on what they're doing. For example with the "Sniper" unit, once damaged, the actual sniper will die. As a result, the spotter will instead speak, sounding distressed.
I Actully feel dumb for never noticing this Modern Warfare 2 Detail
4hr ago!?
Dawg how the video just came out lol
How are you 4 hours ago, this was posted 19s ago
THIS WAS POSTED 12 seconds AGO HOW WAS IT 4 HOURS!
Man shut yo bot ahh up
I Modern Warfare 2019, on the map St. Petrograd. You can find an add on the train in the center of the map, that translates to Burger Town. Also, there’s another sign in the map “Crash”. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was more on different maps.
In The No Russian Mission. If You No Clip Below The Elevator There Is A Space Invader Logo On The Floor Of The Secret Room
the dog didn't respond when she asks for healing, just like my teammates. that's actually a good easter egg
Two more things in links awakening. In the German version of the original game if you would put magic powder on the wired looking enemy which shoked you, you would get a message more understandable for adults.
The second thing is when you stole something every NPC would call you thief
I only have a phone and never had any consoles. I am not familiar with most of the games but it's still super fun just watching the Easter eggs.
Body CAN function sorta like that depending on it's grade, distance, and the type of ammo that is being fired at it. However, at that close of range with any caliber you're looking at bruises, and potentially broken ribs so.
3:20 why does a child have to be the hero when there's an archmage in town who makes ganon look like a cute teacup pig?
For some reason the Max Payne Piano Detail reminds me of the Guitar Man from Deathloop because like Max, he starts off sounding bad but at the end of the day he sounds like a rockstar
Yeah covered that before, it’s cool
@@CaptainEggcellent I know
I don't know if anyone who played Max Payne 3 know this but in Chapter 11: Sun Tan Oil, Stale Margarita, and Greed if you reach point where you need to gun down the enemies in the tower where there's a zipline when you're able to kill the enemies while they are ziplining Max will commend himself for his good aim.
Love these videos and others that you make, ive been watching these videos for years through different stages of my life, and im finally happy where i am today while watching this latest vid.
A lot of the cheese strategies from the original Crash games work in the remasters, actually. For example, a popular speedrunning trick for Crash 2 was to use the dash slide to get some speed and jump before the end, which let Crash keep the enhanced momentum through the jump. Great for getting some extra speed and also for clearing difficult jumps.
There's also the glitch on that rope bridge level where the rope on the edge has physical geometry, letting the player walk on it without bothering with the incredibly difficult and frustrating jumps and obstacles.
I feel like the max pain piano is a kinda Easter egg to final fantasy 5 where you can find hidden pianos and play the overworks theme if you find them all your character gets better with each one he finds
L4D2 has another subtle easter egg: the construction workers, unlike other infected, aren't attracted to the beeping of a pipe bomb and will keep attacking you even while their companions are attacking the bomb. If you look closely at their character model, you'll see why this is: they're wearing ear protectors!
Yeah I’ve covered that before, it’s brilliant.
A special easter egg in arkham knight (that I don’t think has been covered on here yet) is that you can find a restaurant on the street near the northen most point of Bleake island (near the lighthouse) named after Bill Finger (called Finger’s). Cool to see him get a reference after being screwed out of credit for batman for so long.
Amazing content as usual, Capitain. Didn't remember that Max Payne 3 was as still that smooth, great physics and a nice touch at the piano progression, a real gem, ahead of it's time.
4:10 "Não se atira num policial, porra! Ai, caralho!"
Also having a blast recording some of those portuguese dirty phases, as a brazilian myself! hahahaha
Damn I just rewatched episode 57 yesterday. That was exactly 50 episodes ago and still going strong 💪🏼
It’s always a treat to catch your videos so early 🎉
As someone with a bit of weapon knowledge, i can say there as far as the Max Payne 3 body armor, there is probably body armor that can take that many hits, but it’d be really chunky, heavy, and ineffective. Plus that guy looks like he’s just wearing a basic chest rig with no armor
I read about the clown zombie in L4D2 but never got the chance to properly honk their noses, even when meleeing... im glad the No Russian detail was also noticed too!
There's an achievement for honking 10 clown noses.
in MW2 (the new one) inside the firing range through the window you can see the create a class room, with your character, and your favourite class is on her person :)
The flower on chest shoot water is a reference to Joker from Batman series. It appeared in the 90s movie as an acid weapon, and also appeared in the 2019 movie in the beginning after Arthur got beaten to the ground.
I love your video, you got my sub!
3:20 same punishment when you pirate A 30 year old Mario game and Nintendo find out
I found a detail that no one has talked about in Arkham Knight. After the killing joke when you get to control the joker there's a gramophone that plays "Only You" after you kill the riddler. It's the song that joker sang for Batman at the credits of arkham city
I found a cool reference in "Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise". In Chapter 5, when you visit the lighthouse, try clicking to the box right next to the shovel :)
Just playing a piano when there is multiple bodies around him
that links awakening detail was in the original as well, it would change the name of your save file to "Thief" as well which I think it does in the remake
This is gonna be fire I can tell
That Legend of Zelda trick also worked in way earlier versions on Gameboy and SNES :D
I remember renting this game from those Redbox machines back home. I absolutely loved Max Payne 3 and ended up having the game 2 weeks past its return date lol
I've got an detail for you. in the El Sin Nombre level in Diego's room there is a fridge on it is a screen. the screen properly shows the time and date in real time. found it while looking for the safe code :)
Not sure if anyone else has discovered this and/or mentioned it before, but I've finally gotten around to playing Prey (2017) and I have discovered two cool details. The first of which is Morgan tapping his/her feet to the funky beat in the helicopter ride, at the start of the game and the other detail is upon accessing the Skill Recorder Room in the Neuromods Division, you will find a piano that you can interact with and the tune that plays upon multiple interactions sounds eerily similar to music from Dishonored, another Arkane title (which also makes it an easter egg, I suppose).
I luv your vids Capt eggcellent
lmao i love how the dog responds
Max could play his theme on piano's found in Max Payne 1 and 2, so like Sam Lake's grimacing face it's something of a running gag (Max Payne 3 is underrated but when 2 was just that good they were never going to top it.)
If you talk to NPCs after stealing in Link's Awakening, you will be called THIEF by them instead of the name you gave. Meaning your efforts to steal the item has been known throughout.
"I need healing"
"rrrrrrrrrrrr"
that dog really healed you
1:39 This was actually in a previous Legend of Zelda game and is easier to do by going in circles around him, and it also changes your interactions so all the NPCs call you "thief" in the dialogue.
In mafia 2 you can see heavier cars shake more then lighter cars its a cool detail in one of my fav games
In overwatch 2 when you kill pharah when she's barraging as ashe on the route 66 map. Ashe says something on the lines of "no raining in my desert"
There’s a breaking bad reference in supraland and a Indiana Jones reference quite close to it as well
Body armor in real life can typically absorb a couple rounds before becoming little more than an expensive sweater, and it'll still hurt like hell.
In Links awaking dx if you steal from the shop it also changes your name in game to THIEF instead of the name at save creation. Don't know the if the switch version does that as well.
God, I remember years ago, my buddy came over and brought Max Payne. We blacked out my room so no light entered from anywhere, and just sat there and played that game all night. It was awesome. Unfortunately I've yet to play since
3:19 so after your death do you just get to keep the item or do you not have the item anymore and it is back at the shop again?
Jak 2. When driving and shooting, Daxter will hold and shoot the guns for Jak. Thought it was a neat detail
In mw2 2022 in the multiplayer map "Al Bagra Fortress" if you go to the Munitions storage room with all the paintings and look at the sign above the pottery there is a cool message in tiny text
I figured that Overwatch one on my own and i was so confused 😆
There's a ton of refrances like jack from the pirates of the Caribbean on the start level you have to see em
its about 1-3 shots before the sapi cracks. Depending on what round is used for the body armor
In link’s awakening I think characters will also refer to you as thief I think as well if you steal
I was thinking to my self was the nose honk a thing? I think I remember hearing it when I smacked em, but when you went with the flower I was thinking oh... maybe I was thinking of another game but no, I was right.
have u ever cover the metal gear solid 5 cardboard easter egg whit the solider?
Awww. That first one tho! Good doggy!
The detail from Links Awakening can actually be found in the original version on the original gameboy, id love to see it in a video
On GTA 4, if you leave a car with the radio on, you can barely hear the radio
In Black Mesa after blowing the casserole in the microwave keep interacting with the guard for some humorous dialouge
Another thing about the clown honk it summons other zombies too that’s why the cast in l4d2 say don’t hit the clowns
A little detail in WW2, I was replaying on the first mission of the campaign, D-day, inside the first bunket, theres a man sitting down having a cigarette, pretty cool detail, 🤷
If im not mistaken this detail was also/already in links awakening / dx
I think it was l4d or possibly some other zombie game but occasionally if you watched the zombies long enough, one will lay down and die, possibly succumbing to whatever virus they have
4:30 AFAIK real body armour would pretty consistently stop small calibre rounds like the handgun but unless it's heavy duty ceramic plate the ak would punch right through no issue and even with the thickest ceramic plate it'd still only hold up to a few rounds.
I think that Link/Legend of Zelda Easter egg happens in a lot of the older games too
If you really wanna reach for it you could also say that Max can only better play his theme the worse his surroundings are. Seeing as how the first piano is in a nice top floor penthouse and he can barley get a single note right, and the last one is in a rundown, dingy, abandoned building.
Try to find details in Snowrunner cuz it might have some..
4:30 in general, body armor will protect u from the bullet but not for the hit, so that police died by the internal damage (broken ribs, blows and possibly internal bleeding)
First I am very surprised at Links stealing the shovel but COD MW 2 detail is way much more high level and way beyond thinking 🤔
I can't remember which game but the piano thing has been done before. It ma have been one of the 16 bit Final Fantasy titles. Every time you go to a new town if you play the piano you get a little better
7:01 the old devs for l4d didnt work on back4blood, there was only 1 guy that was on the project from l4d that worked as a consultant for back4blood, they lied about it to try and make some sort of story/image people could find hope in so they could make sales.
In gotham knights, walking up from behind any of the intractable npcs, (Montoya, and Fix just to name two) they will have a different reaction than if you just came up normally
I like how all the games you named in the title all had the number 2 in them
In link s awakening the punishement isn t just death, from then on everyone will call you thief( or something along those lines) instead of the name given to your save slot. At least in the gb version it did. I don t know if it still does in the new one
Yes, just like in the original, your profile gets renamed to thief.
Remember the days when he only said to look really cool in front of your friends?
In Rising Storm 2: Vietnam there are multiple steam achievements that are reverences. One is titled “What a thrill” which is gained by spending over 2 minutes on ladders.
Check the detail in battlefield V where you can kill enemy with back blast of a rpg
Same thing happens in the original Link’s Awakening game, I learned that the hard way.
If no one video has said this one here it is: in apex legends, one of Ashe's voicelines "only once have I failed to kill the target.... never again" is that good good throwback to titanfall 2 where that target was your character, Jack Cooper
That’s why with the shop keeper in Zelda you only steal the last item you need then never enter the shop again
A note about the MW2 detail that makes it a bit odd, but IIRC 2 of Makarov's henchmen are scripted to die in the latter half of the mission, which means authorities could've also checked their corpses, cross-ref'd their faces with IDs, etc...
From what I heard the clown zombies also have another ability, if you melee them and honk their nose the noise will attract other nearby zombies.
Valve are allergic to the number 3 killed me man. Thanks for that
I dont know one has said this but in the new cod mw2 the cutscene where grave betrays soap and the team, in the cutscene you can see that his name in the subtitles goes from blue (friendly) to red (enemie) I don't know if many noticed this but I like the small detail
L4d Francis has the lamba sign scarred into his head. Refrering back to the half life seris
The detail in links awakening is cool, and is a callback to the original I think where it also happens.... I'm also sure that's not the only zelda game that can happen in
I love the details and yestereggs here I can see where are they
Body Armor that protects you but still does a minimal amount of damage
Cause the impact would probably still hurt a lot.
In Ultima 7 Behind the south end of The Honorable Hound, there is a one room house with a bed on the north wall flanked by two treasure chests. Take off your armor and drop it on the ground to the west of the base of the tree in the little courtyard in front of the house. Step on the armor to be transported to the cheat room. You are teleported to a secret dev area with every item in the game and teleporters to various key locations in the game. Once you take one of the teleports you can go back by dropping an armor in the spot you appeared and walk over it to teleport back.
I am still waiting for my Bucket of Chicken😥Hope I get the toffees too😢
I still haven’t gotten my picture of the moon
Body armor while it can save your life is still painful. He's not getting up IRL dead or alive.
