The Shashemane land grant was not only for Rastafari people, but really for any of the slave trade diaspora, especially those who had supported Ethiopia against the Italian occupation. It is associated with the Rastafari because they were most enthusiastic in response to the land grant, and their veneration of Emperor Selassie
I am from the Solomon islands ❤ you my brothers and our Mother Land Africa.Makes me sad as I listen..GOD Bless. We are one people.

Stayed in Alex's compound 'Zion train' in Shashamane for a couple of nights. Coolest dude.❤
Kish my world, congratulations on reaching 20k. Thank you for this episode on rastafarians who repatriated to Ethiopia. This was quite informative. I was not aware that Haile Selassie had designated an area for Rastas, who wanted to repatriate to
Ethiopia. 🙏♥️
The land was given to all blacks in the west/diaspora who wants to return to africa not rastas or jamaicans......all blacks of african descent
Glad you enjoyed and learnt something from it
Selassie also gave black Americans 700 acres by Lake Tana about 100 settled but with the upcoming mussolini invasion it didn't work out
Great job, *Kish my world*.I can only imagine that a lot of people from the Rasta faith must be happy. I learned something today. Thank you.
Thank you Joy.

Good work but I have 2 corrections to make.
1. Not just Shashamene or the nation of Ethiopia is the Promised Land.
The whole of Africa was once Ethiopia and is the Promised Land.
2. H.I.M. Haile Selassie I was not born in the Shashamene area but 18 miles outside of Harar, Ejersa Goro to be precise.
Jah RasTafari Bless. Love and Justice.

Why did you not visit the Twelve tribes of isreal hq ? They have the most repatriated people who have built their homes and have settled. I pray that one day you will understand the significance. Blessed.
They were closed when I was there
We must Realise that Rastafari has become a feel good thing more than a serious movement for black self reliance. Most Rastafari in Jamaica will never make the journey to Africa n it not because they cant
The sound was missing in many parts of your video 😮why was this,
Expor problems sorry
The land was not given to rastas my friend. It was given to all blacks in the west who desired to return to africa......the first migrants were actually americans....the rastas started coming about 20 years later
You’re correct
Bravo!!! This journey you've been on for the last month or two has been amazing travel for you and amazing viewing for us, your subscribers. You are doing tremendously well. I do agree, you've got to fix the sound in this video. The information is so important. God bless your curiosity and your determination. Keep up the good work. We are waiting for more adventures and thank you very much for sharing 🥰😎
Will fix it definitely
Two sides of story from one person as lord and as other side of lord.
Im watching from jamaica how can i return there
Fly there, book a flight ✈️ or try walking 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I cannot believe I missed you 😮 I have been following you for quite sometime, I saw you in Addis Ababa I went but didn't see you . Now you have left my home from jamaica to Engand finally living in shashemene . God bless.
Next time!
Move to the 'promised land' and end up scraking money. It seems that some promises have not been fulfilled

Sad to see the first Ras you meet begging & demanding like that. Not everyone is like this. Blessed
Yeah was sad. He didn’t even give me time to get to my place so maybe he was in a bad situation. But I gave him some cash later on
@@kish_myworld I saw that you gave him at the end, at least he was thankful and humbled by that, but his welcoming was non-existent, how are others going to be encouraged to repatriate if they are simply demanded money upon arrival..anyhow..it is what it is, and yes, not everyone is like that..blessup!
The Ras name is Charles Reuben. We were at his repatriation party at the 12 tribes HQ in London UK 16 years ago. This is a sad sight to see. Thank you my brother for giving him something. If you are going to ask for something do so respectfully, as a Rastaman! A humble calf sucks the most milk. Wow! 🙏🏾
Thanks for noticing that. A few "Rastas" there are a disgrace to the community, and to the whole movement. On my visits there I noticed that a few times. TRUE Rasta movement is about self-reliance, and independence. After being there over 16 years, couldn't he set an independent foundation for himself😳? I don't think he is from Jamaica. No REAL Jamaican Rastas are like that. He needs to TRIM!...and STOP calling himself Jamaican!
Haile Selassie Restaurant? In Shashemene?🤣🤣🤣I like to see that.
haha i was day dreamng
🇯🇲🇺🇸💯❤️
They are the chosen people because God couldnt guve them weed without land to grow it on ,so its their land obviously
Am looking for someone who is knowledgeable about the tribes of Israel.
@ 14:36 Really? Rastah? You really need to do a lil bettah!
Great content, bro! I was disappointed though with the very first rasta you met, the one who was asking for money to see his children, or something like that. He came across more like a rascal than a rasta. Begging should be below rastafarianism and self-determination at its core. Fortunately, he appeared to be the only one of his type.
You and me both! And he demanded the money there and then. I gave him later when I got enough cash but it was abit sad how he behaved
Soon mash up the place with that mentality. He should have stayed his behind wherever he came from and leave it to the people who genuinely wanted to be there to make a difference back where they called home 🏠. He’s a phony and a disgrace. I hope he didn’t robbed anyone at gun point and ran away to sheshamane😀😀😀😀😀

Black jamaicans are from East Africa area
It is not right that some of the Shashemene land was taken from them from the government.A gift is a gift.Emperor Selassie wishes were not honoured fully.

Rent-a-dread can't find a black queen in Africa???
I sai you don't of to ware locks to be raster or rasta the real Way 👀🤔
Kish it’s like you played middle fielder in football always looking at your shoulder to see your surroundings. Impressive.
But you failed the first test of that Rasta man who asked you for something to go pick up his kids at school .
No look at the end of the video I looked for him and gave him something. I didn’t have any cash with me then
SilasyHi is no God or savior he is no ruler, he kneeled down before the queen of England right? What type of savior is this?
Dont talk crap the King did not kneel down to the queen of England in fact it was the other way round.

And btw if you were intelligent enough to watch the video to the end you would see clearly that I looked for him after I settled down ad have him money without him asking. But ofcourse you lost fingers are too quick to type and judge. Get tf outta my page
Do Rasta know Oromos are the lost tribe of hebrews aka cush ? And hailesilasie came from line of king of cush and he traces back his ancestors to Ori or hori. Same ancestry Of all Oromos. Hori or Hora Thanksgiving? Where the scripture is fulfilled. "cush shall stretch her hand to God". Irressa or irrecha is literally and act of stretching hand or arm for Thanksgiving to God. The root word irre. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Wake up.
Let this be a lesson to Jamaicans speaking of going back to Africa. Back to sufferation? Leave beautiful Jamaica?
Thank you drummer man kish Essa that is it 😊
If you are poor even in america life will suck its uo to the persone th make life good or bad
@@Israelabyirdaw7the blue mountains are beautiful, rastaman live at one with nature its paradise, you can bet they've far happier than us in the western world living amongst the rat race,it's not all about money and material things, wealth isn't money
You have no idea what you’re talking maybe you jealous?!
@@Newscantlie how can I be jealous when I live in Jamaica 😂😂😂🇯🇲
Hailey Selassie was a Christian and when he found out there were people in Jamaica worshipping him he sent money to Jamaica to build some Ethiopian Orthodox churches because he wanted them to know the truth. Jesus Christ had said no one should believe any christs who will come after him because his return will be in the clouds for all the world to see. There will be no questions then of who He is
Okay interesting
His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I sent Archbishop Yesehaq who became Archbishop of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church in the Western Hemisphere to baptise Rastafari in Jamaica and the West. He baptised over 45000 including Bob Marley and his family. He is buried in Jamaica
SMH😑!!
Top of the morning, kish the promised land don't look so promising
No not really. Negril is more like it for me

The Rasta coumnty at shasha(ሻሽመኔ) Ethiopian is in great rescues with the regime they're don't the right practice, believing Rasts, and they can't dress the colors red yellow green next the Apartied regime whant to take the promise land the Rasta around the world can be a voice. Unfortunately the place belongs to the people that live there Haileslassie have no right to give something that doesn’t belong to him. It’s absolutely a huge mistake.
That is bull crap. Whose land was it?
You guys need to grow up if you are to develop mentally. In Kenya we have Indians, Europeans and Arabs yet we don’t keep reminding them that the land belongs to Kikuyus, Luos etc. We live together.
