    Lower subframe Bush is fucked

    • @Sennaxm71
      @Sennaxm71 Před 2 lety

      indeed, but also possibly a dodgy injector causing the engine to wobble, but the amount it wobbles is almost certainly bottom subframe bush, just done one for somebody, and stopped the wobble.

      @@Sennaxm71 mine was knackered, so filled it with Urethane and its lasted nearly a year 🙂...i need to get around to taking it off and having a new one pressed.

      @@switchest26 Did you go to the effort of taking the subframe off to fill it with Urethane? If so, you should have changed it, they're not massively hard to get out, (hammer and chisel will do it) and there's 2, one on the top and one on the bottom, you have to line the holes up so the other part of the mount can fit through them.

      @@Sennaxm71 Hi Mark, no I was being totally lazy and just podged it all in there.....worked for a while at least.....are they easy enough to fit with a hammer too?

    • @Sennaxm71

      @@switchest26 lol It was a temporary bodge, (which sometimes end up almost permanent lol) might be a pain to get it out though.
      Normally you have to remove the subframe completely, about 10 bolts, and the two bolts through the actual mount.
      Then you have to support the subframe on the floor on wooden blocks, because it's alloy and easily broken, and with a cold chisel and lump hammer, hit it on the edge of the plastic, sort of pushing towards the centre of the mount, being careful not to damage the alloy hole it's in, then turn it over and do the same on the bottom one.
      You'll notice that there is holes in the side of the mounts, they have to line up in the alloy subframe to get the bone shaped mount bit through. Good luck ;)
