We took the Sigma 500mm F5.6 DG DN OS Lens to Mashatu Game Reserve. Any good?

  • Size does often matter. And, when talking abut the form factor of photographic equipment, often (but not always) the smaller the better (as long as quality is not compromised). And the Sigma 500mm F5.6 DG DN OS lens is just that: small. And lighter than you'd imagine.
    In short, we loved the lens and the image quality is superb - way sharper than I would ever have believed possible. We took one to Mashatu Game Reserve in Botswana to try it out and it was a joy to use for both stills and video.
