  • This is Marathon from my Hartford '90 CD. I could only find a couple of songs on youtube from this show. Again, like the Working Man 1979 upload I just did, this is a test of some things.

Great sound - the bass is crystal clear and crisp. I liked how the kept their tempo under control during this era.

Thanks! I like this mellower and richer version as much as the frenetic original.

Agreed, the studio version tempo is much faster. This song is much better slowed down for the live show.

This sounds great, I like being able to hear Alex' backing vocals in the chorus. Thanks for posting!

@TJH3113 You know what's weird? I haven't listened to this cd in a while and in some parts it sounded fairly slow to me. I wasn't sure if that was just the way it was played or an issue with the production of this bootleg since I know a few others have had to be speed-corrected. Mission is the one that really jumped out at me for the tempo, I'm going to upload it a little later so you can tell me what you think. I actually think these sound great at this tempo anyway. They sound "bigger".

This is definitely a little slower than the studio version. I prefer it played at that speed - faster than this, but not too fast. They did a good job of it on the Time Machine tour.
