E28 v2.0 is a cracking piece of kit. Anyone can make bright lights, but I'm more impressed by good runtimes at the low and middle light levels, because these are the ones I use the most. 260 hours at 5 lumens, 36 at 50, and 17 at 150 are excellent for a single 18650, and in a torch that's built like a tank, you're getting real value for money. Fenix are definitely not comedians. Their products are rock solid, and every bit as good as Olight, Nitecore and Ledlenser.

Compare the beam and throw with E35R in dark.

There is an error in the battery model. The correct name is ARB-L18-3400.

Like all Fenix lights I’m assuming it gets too hot to handle on turbo.
I doubt turbo mode lasts 2 hours.
I’d be concerned about the rubber port protector eventually wearing out/off.

Test light when its pitch dark, only flashlight that’s lasted is olight. Many flashlights have stoped working after many accidental drops, even expensive ones.

My olight didn't last a year, had to send it in for replacement.

I had a E28R, which I didn't like for a few reasons, most of them addressed in this V2: 1. Not "throwy" enough for the given lumen (addressed in the V2 with a the SFT40 and a longer reflector) 2. Body just a tad short for good, stable handling (V2 is 1/2" longer, which should be just perfect) 3. No real ultra-low mode (V2 has a 5 lumen mode vs the previous 30 lumen). Great! Now, this leaves the deal breaker, the reason for which I wouldn't get another E28R: the side switch is too high and easily activated, and when using it I often inadvertently SWITCHED OFF the light at the most inopportune moment. Noped me out. How does the V2 switch compare to the original one?
