This confirms for me how great an athlete Sifan is, she stopped twice to perform physiotherapy on herself, she missed her water station, shared her water with another runner, and still she won the race. She looked so comfortable I am surprised she did not stop and had a massage. đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł I knew she was going to win when I saw there were only 2 kilometers to go and she was with the lead runners, few runners can match her closing speed. I think she can set a new record for the marathon.
I know. It's insane. She is the purest runner the sport has seen. đââđ„
She WILL set the record. đ
Has now climbed up to 2nd fastest of all time, which should have broken the world record if done 3 weeks prior to that day.
incredible race, what an athlete, what a competitor
She is one of my favourites. An absolute beauty.
Sheâs the definition of a true champion! Sheâs so humble yet soo talented. She never gave up and got her well deserved victory for her very first marathon. Itâs incredible!
Sifan Hassan is a legend, not only because she has won incredibly diverse running sports from 1500m to marathon, but also due to the fact that her lurking competing style has transformed these boring repetitive running sports to an exciting buzzer-beater one. How would we imagine that a marathon game is as suspenseful as a tight NBA game? Sifan Hassan is the Michael Jordan of the running games.
She makes this look so easy, and then says she didn't think she could do it. She's so humble, but so powerful. I just watched her win an even at the 2020 games as well. She's an insane closer.
I love Siffan's personality; humble, and honesty about what she mentioned about her emotions before, during and after the race. Congratulations on a magnificent performance and ladies champion of the 2023 London Marathon and all the best.
Endurance of an elite level marathon runner and fast twitch of a sprinter. Extraordinary talent.
That's the humility of the greats. She has always been an outlier athlete and now we know she is also a nice person.
Man. She has a great personality and is funny too. It's so entertaining to see her interviews.
This year we are witnessing the new Queen and King of marathon running in Sifan Hasan and Kelvin Kiptum respectively....I reckon they are going to break the world marathon records
When I saw Hassan with the lead group I knew she will win because her track finishing speed
She has the world record in the mile also the 1 hour run on the track almost 19 km.she will do great things in the Marathon and I can tell she fall in love with the race.congrats Sifan
She is a goddess, so powerful yet so humble. She made me so happy and inspired me. I live watching her describe her London Marathon journey. đđŸâ€ïž
Self Confident ... Sifan Hassan ... đ€©
Incredible lady! Sifan you are an amazing athlete and even better human being.
So humble. That's amazing! đ đ
I been watching her ever since she has been running internationally. She has a very sweet personality and seem very down to earth type person. Congratulations to her first marathon win. She look very comfortable in the last 5 kw of the ran. May she continue to get better and stronger in her many marathons ahead.
She won chicago marathon 2:13:44 in october only 6 weeks after she run 24500m on track at budapest
She is awesome!!@@ramadanmohammed5586
Unbelievable effort by her. Such an impressive feat let alone for the elite category!
Wish her good luck đđŸ
She is so humble in-spite being great may one of the very few greatest all distance runners, she even laughed at herself after making silly mistakes during run (like crossing road to get drink) but that only shows how great she is... that's why we admire you Sifan Hassan... your fan from India
A much deserved win, Sifan... grand job. The future is yours. Love your outlook.
she did it in the most sifan hassan way. shes amazing, congratulations to her!!!
Our hero
Sifan, no need to be scared. You are one of the greatest athletes to ever walk the face of the earth.
The distance running world is Sifan's universe the rest of the runners are just living in it.đ
Absolute machine!!!!!
Such a humble and tough athlete, well deserved champion đ„đ„đ„
Such a beautiful person
like what she said before ... if you are not tired, it is not marathon. She display what a marathon is for every new runner, except that she is fast and superb. Real marathon drama, for ordinary runner but at elite level. You wont see this happen for elite marathon runner. When Molly Seider got her Olympic ticket ... it was another, but not that close to this.
Literally athlete of the year.
Has the world at her feet so to speak a special athlete and role model
She is so beautiful inside and out. I love the way she describes her personality đ. Even though it was her first she kept going and didnât even see the finish line. Amazing Sifan
Once in a generation athlete.
So true
Well done and it was an impressive race đ.
Champion â€
so humble, we need to take a page out of her book
And so, she does it all. Natural ability!
A superstar!!!
You're special... That's London â€â€
Massive respect
OOOOOOOOOOH WHAT A FEELING!!!â„ïžđâ„ïžđ
congratulations Sifan! đ
The new generation will learn the is no limit what you can do in life. Just believe in yourself and try anything that will make you happy! God bless Sifan
She so articulate, smart and humble
I felt so moved when dhe daid 'i knew i was going to stop', knowing that in the end she won. What a true talent. What a runner.
I'm Kenyan and good đ for her
Wat een prachtvrouwđâ€Innerlijk en uiterlijk!
Amazing Sifan Hassan
She made the Buzz ! Some jokes here and there ... she just went for a stroll in Landon, but knew perfectly she could run even in 2 .15 ! Then she began to run during the last 2 hundred meters and the others stayed stuck to the tar !
She done amazing. I watched the poor coverage on the BBC. An 800m runner, her first race that touches over 13miles. No marathon runner I've seen has ever won after dropping so far back. Then the water station mishap and she is clear of the others as she crosses the line.
That shows how great an athlete she is.
amazing girl !
I love this woman â€â€â€ amazing
Wow , amazing

Anything is possible in this world đ âšïž nxt time you can run 2:14
Sub 2:14, 2:13:44
So a lovely girl, I adore her. :-)
No one raises questions on juicing đź
Probably because she is clean and always has been. Every time such allegations have been raised in the past the have proved to be unfounded. There is no direct evidence Hassan has ever used PEDs and she has always diligently observed anti-doping protocols. People creating controversy where it doesn't exist, thinking association and incredulity are as valid as a blood test.
Sifan practices Islam âȘïž hence no question that her attitude is likable. Most of Muslim people I know here in the Middle East are very humble and a complete opposite of the stereotypes I've heard while I was in my home country The Philippines.
why are there english subtitles for english? if you can't understand her, you'd never get past freshman year in a stem field.
Have a feeling she could have overtake the elite runners earlier but wanted to cross the finish line together. She could have beat the WR
She said she was surprised to see the finish line, she did not know she was so close to the finish. With a bit more experience running the marathon I think she can set a new record.
@@kellywillis8091 her pb is now 2:13:44 her next marathon tokyo march 3
Prepare meeting Obiri nxt tym
i dont think Hassan fears anyone, if she would she wouldnt go against the advice of her trainers to try an lower profile marathon, she wanted to do the biggest marathon of them all against the best runners in the world (olympic champ, world record holder). and as everyone could see there is still lots of margin to improve her already impressive time (4 minutes of the dutch record). but i have to say obiri is also very good and also like Hassan she has a great sprint.
No one raises questions on juicing đź
@@jayhm4331 yes its true that over halfthe positive tests nowadays come from kenian athletes so you never know!
@@joowsty Obiri has a good sprint, but Sifan out sprinted her in the 5000 meters in Tokyo.
@@jayhm4331 like one American woman at Seoul Olympics, whose records still stand?
Her winning performance in the marathon was likely influenced by the state of ketosis she achieved during Ramadan.
The GOAT already of women's athletics. Sifan Hassan from Ethiopia, nationalized to Dutch, is the best we have ever seen. She's a proud and devoted Muslim [now you do not hear certain racist Dutch politicians and their compatriots complaining about colored people and Muslims 'occupying' their country and the need to throw them out) and she's a symbol of running in a country that is not know for it. Now The Netherlands have many women in athletics who are doing well and Sifan is a great inspiration. Still, I feel she does not get the same recognition her younger and native Dutch female runners receive, even though Sifan is now the most decorated professional female runner in The Netherlands. But then, how else can it be???
I am dutch and telling that you are talking nonsense.
@@henrimoll9621 Same here..
Sifan not getting the recognition from the Dutch is the biggest nonsense ive ever heard
