@ozcorr909 Thanks. He built it on the cheap, mostly from parts he had laying around or picked up for next to nothing. He gets offers for it, but has fallen in love with it and can't let it go. I can understand why he, and you, love this yr truck so much. And I appreciate how much work you've put into yours. Keep up the great work..

Wow! I forgot how rough those trucks drive. Got rid of mine about 35 years ago.
Drives like corvette now not much travel in those suspensions either but handles great ,Ive used jaguar suspensions in the past they have more travel and cost much less not to mention easier to install.
@@ozcorr909 Yeah your truck would definitely handle better than stock that's for sure ! I'm an old man now...I'd want something adjustable LOL!
stock suspension are also great( at stock ride height) just adding a power steering gear box or power assist ram
@@ozcorr909 A guy I work with has a 54 F-100 that he put a Toyota steering box in...but kept the straight axle. In my mind , the straight axle and leafs have to go, and I would rather fork over the money and get a brand new engineered chassis. At least in my fictional dream truck , that's what I would do LOL!

yes 3" wider wheels are 18x8 fronts 20x10 rear ill have to check the tire size

Sorry about asking to many questions, but when installing your LS did you have to remove the VAT's from your computer?
no worries yes i did if the engine is still in a running donor you can do it by unplugging the body control module while the vehicle is running i did a video explaining how to fire up on stand up and vats delete czcams.com/video/QAr7Aop_jXk/video.html if your swap has already been pulled you will have to have removed by a tuner,

Hey Ernest best bet is to find a good running donor vehicle pull engine trans computer and harness and part out the rest if you dont have the room to do that,next best thing is offer up and craigslist,I recommend getting a complete engine including all accessories as they add up quickly if by seperately

My dad wants to ls swap his f100 what would you recommend he has a 6.0 ready for it what is a good engine mount kit ? What pcm type you use stock?
pcm is stock i sent it to lt1swap.com to be programmed charged me 75$ to delete vats,and smog delete ,remove governor and program for tire size and rear gear ratio best deal out there in my opinion.the engine mount i used were the ict billet adapter for ls to small block chevy and the mounts are for a 68 camaro .if there is already a small block chevy in your dads truck just get the ict billet adapter and use the same engine mounts he already has.

what year is your dads f100 does it have original front suspension what engine is there now it will make a difference those adapters will only allow to use a variety of GM motor mounts,like i mention before is theres already a small block chevy in there you can use your old motor mounts.i used the stock harness on my truck ive reworked two harnesses and added a smaller fuse boxes ,unless you really want to learn to rework stock harnesses i recommend you buy the best rated and budget friendly aftermarket harness you can find .this is what i will be doing on my next project.

motor and transmission are 5.3l and 4l60 out of a 2000 silverado front and rear suspension are from a c4 corvette
