What do we get for using your link?
@@mpmi7588 how about dozens of useful, inspiring and entertaining videos, provided by a very friendly and peaceful contemporary named Bo Beats?
@@SoundmanCH i hear you but....seeing people with a lot of gear and a nice house will NOT make me use a link so they can get more 💰 by me spending 💰
@@mpmi7588 Bo had to start somewhere like most of us.
Time to start lobbying Arturia for a desktop module version. Then it can sit on a rack above our matrixbrutes :)
About time!
I love my MatrixBrute and can’t wait to hear what other talented musicians will make with this new synth.
This synth pretty much has me sold, well done Arturia!
This...put a smile on my face 😍❤
It's the holy grail of the Arturia line up 😍
Sounds wonderful. Great demo!
Great review, Bo. Really a lovely sounding board.
The sounds are totally wicked. Lovely texture and movement. Dry and clean but articulate. I think they nailed the tone.
I love the patches you used in your music at the end. Sweet little jam. It really shows off the synth and your sound design & arrangement skills.
A great review.Such a gorgeous looking synth. Thanks
GREAT REVIEW. Thank you! That trance preset at 8.51 is BANGING.
Uhhhh.... this morph function..... fantastic.....
Love the t-shirt. I can relate
Sad ;)
We're synth collector are mostly rich aren't we 😆
Omg the sound at 8:20. Bo, thank you for the video, such an inspiration everytime!
Superb overview, thanks Bo!
Every time I think Arturia can't make a crazier piece of gear, they prove me wrong. The Matrixbrute wasn't the final evolution of the Brute, it was simply a stepping stone to this masterpiece in synth tech.
Super review , love your play Bobeats , thanks 👍🏻💖🙂
This is hilariously out of my price range, but it was great hearing the stuff you made with it... Sounds absolutely lovely
You have to find a better paying job.
Sounds gorgeous!
Excellent demo!!! Thanks a lot!! :)
Such a beautiful instrument , thanks for sharing!
Thanks Bo! This thing BOOPS!!!!
When a key is pressed a light above it is lit. Nice feature which I did not notice at first!
Damn it . I knew this coming . Just didn't know when . Fantatstic Bo. The guys at Arturia have smashed hard out of the park with this one.
Hell yessss
I agree -- this one's a sure hit. I'm a bit puzzled by some of its detractors. What's not to like, other than that it has "only" 6 voices of polyphony. But that doesn't seem to have hurt the reputation of the Juno 106 or the PolySix, does it? Nope.
@@ConwayBob Indeed if it were 16 voice this still wouldn't be enough for some. I think we live in a world of " yearner mentality".
When you consider A) Aturias time in the analog synth market B ) The sheer immense functionality of the P.B . and C) The price point, its a god dam steal !.
Very nice presentation Bo! This is quite a piece of synth! I love the possibilities. Take care
I decided to try this synth after your brilliant review. I played the first patch, went home and ordered one. 2 weeks and counting. Happy days.
God the morph function is so cool. I'm usually happy with cheaper synths but this the first time a synth I'll never afford has a feature I'd actually use
Really useful review thanks
What a lovely synth this is Bo :)
I like that it looks very compartmentalized; easy for my eyes to take-in - - I HAVE problems with things that are not easily cordoned off by lines, yet this format seems very easy and a delight to take in and DIGEST WITH MY EYESIGHT - - THE SOUNDS ARE STRANGLEY VERY "SAMEY" IN THE SENSE THAT IT HAS FLAVOR OF A BUTTERSCOTCH 80's S♡UND!! 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇
Thank you .That is a really good workflow using both Polybrute and Machine + .
I was waiting for the Beat 😎✌🏿💯🎹
Nice
I KNEW THEY'D DO IT. THEY FINALLY FRICKEN DID IT, BUT THE QUESTION IS, DO I WATCH BOBEATS OR LOOPOP FIRST?!
Both! At the same time!
None . Keep an eye on your wallet it may walk itself out of house. Lol.
You can Morph beetween the two. Killer effect!
I watch Bo first bc he doesn't say "...hi" the exact same way at the start of every video, bless him for that
I love how you have the same exact comment on Loopop's video lol
It's interesting how everones opinions vary. I think the sound is quite warm and rich even if it has some metallic sounds too. I also think it has an "old" quality to it. By that I mean that it sounds like the very first and early synthesizers. But I am in no way an expert in this so forgive my untrained ears if i am wrong. Lovely sounds however.
Agree
i think you nailed it.
@@Heathcliff_hensel Good to know!
Sounds like something that Hawkwind or Floyd would have used at times especially for space and as you say metallic sounfs
I’m not sure you can be wrong when you interpret what you hear. I wouldn’t worry about the haters. It’s like someone trying to tell you that you’re tasting your food wrong! I also think it sounds lovely.
Thanks Bo I enjoy the videos been quite stressful here in the States always a nice escape from the Chaos.
The workflow on this seems supreme with that mod matrix, but the no demo showed a sound that blows me away yet.
cant wait for the behringer verison
Thank you:)! Great review!
It’s so pretty!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Seen a ton of reviews and not been impressed by it until yours. That spacey bit was great and exploring that side would be interesting
Love the T-shirt, it explains everything)
Great demo! You got good skills for sound design as well :-) I also got a Matrixbrute, and your demo here is very convincing, for me to get this monster as well...oh dear...I fear my poor wallet's gonna leak cash in the near future...
I need this!!
Wow, I love it... Today I order one !!! It will complete my MatrixBrute !
OK, I've ordered it ! 3 or 4 months to wait, here, in my island (Reunion Island) ! I love Arturia !
This is the most excited I’ve been about a synth in a very long time. Looks and sounds amazing. Thanks for the video Bo! Do you know anyone looking to buy a kidney? 😅
Clearly a modern classic with all the expressive options, love it, ill have to test it to see if I will like the sound. Now am hesitating between novation summit and polybrute
Polybrute first, I think (Morphée)!
This is a lurvly machine and the detail they put into the morphing and matrix features is to be applauded. 😻 but I’d go crazy with only 6 voice polyphony and the placement of the wheels doesn’t give you anywhere to rest your palm. I’d be bumping into that little soap dish all the time 🤓
Hello! what a very nice preset (the first one) !!!!
Home run Arturia , i was looking for more expressive control with a synth and etouch and osmose were options but now will get this........I like that it has its own sound and yet gets into some familiar territory , the organic plucking and clav esc stuff A+. 12:39
What a beast! :o
Lovely
Has the potential to be a pad monster. Great vid Bo.
Omg....I love the music you created with your maschine and tbe synth.... thanx "Lord-if-waves" for sharing... yeah... that's my nickname for you... lol...
just got mine amazing unit
oh wow.... will look and sound great next to my Matrixbrute......
Indeed!
37,5 kg of analog power; I guess I need a new stand as well.
Hey Pete, how about sell the CS - 80 for this superior sound , advanced technology etc and pocket the change - seriously
@@davedeanovic2908 you got a good point there Dave! plus the maintenance that you have to do to keep the CS-80 going! This is the first Synth I have seen to really tick all the CS-80 Boxes!
damn i am in love
I like this one
I say Artuia needs a new flagship poly...
Boom: My video didn’t age well 🤦🏾♂️
its like they heard you
thank you, we needed that little push! :)
Arturia was just holding it back till you said it xD
"Sir can we please release the PolyBrute?"
"NO! He hasn't said it yet....."
Came here from your video! this is crazy
@@BURG New lil Push is coming too?!?!?! @Noir Et Blanc Vie please prophet in the new Push, plz (not prophet maybe, polybrute is brutel enough :)
Sounds very nice indeed, a bit pricey (this is subjective, I know), it gets into the DSI PRO 3 segment, but from all the youtube demos it sounds deeper in the low end, which is a big plus indeed.
I like to put a scfi film on the TV with the sound down and use the visuals for the inspiration.. All in one synths seem to be for making pop music and modular is where the interesting stuff is going on, but that is certainly a capable machine
i wonder if we will see the pattern with the minibrute to matrixbrute happen in reverse? I can definitely see arturia releasing a more budget minipolybrute or something to compete with the korg minilogue. it would definitely fit with their current line extremely well.
8:50 The old school Goa vibes are strong with this one :)
12:38 - dig this sound
I'm not a huge fan of analogue poly synths as a rule but this one is really taking it to the next level.
Our new dream synth...
I was looking at the novation summit then i saw this. If you had to pick out of the two which would you go for having tried both.
I like that the keyboard can be split on the polybrute.
Thanks for another great tutorial I always enjoy to watch them. I have a question and dilemma and because you have a Arturia matrixbrute probably you are the right person to ask 😉 The last months I was looking for a synth I was thinking for example about hydrasynth desktop because it has a nice interface and tons of features but wasn't 100 % sure if like the sound. With Artutia Matrixbrute and new Polybrute is a different story I absolutely love ❤️ both and here we are my dilemma. I know 6 voices lot of new features 5 octaves, better screen but also no cv no audio input and only one position panel that sad the flexibility of matrix brute 3 different types is great and very handy. Matrixbrute you can much cheaper now and with 2.0 firmware got a lot new options and can connect with eurorack. Maybe a good idea to buy matrixbrute first and 2-3 after as a second synth poly brute 😀 but how I explain it to my wife. Please tell what is your thing comparing both? Are you getting on polybrute or keep both? Regards
Simply awesome all around and not even 1/3 the cost of a Moog One, though some might argue the Moog One is like having three synths under one keyboard.
This however feels like a much more immediate, inspiring and fun Poly analog synth.
I have one, it's great!
Yes! GAS is not an illness...
BoBeats How do you get your hands on these gears. Are you buying them or borrowing them for demos. I love your demos.
THIS THING JUST CAME OUT
They went and did it those beautiful bastards! It's beautiful.
Sorry for my ignorance but how is that ribbon thing controlled, what exactly does your finger control there?
Happy 20th birthday #Arturia
I
NEED
IT
CALLED IT
You sure did!
The cat who's got the cream!!! Maschine + AND a Polybrute!!!! How fab! :)
i know, I’m just flexing at this point!! sorry!!
@@BoBeats It's a pleasure to see you so content, lol. Love your vids ... and your T-shirt! :)
This is a great sounding synth. It grabs your attention like the Hydrasynth did for my ears. This sounds richer and fuller. What would you say about it Bo?
It would be grate if you compared the Mono mode of the Polybrute with the Matrixbrute. I am seriousoly wondering if this new beast can cover the Matrixbrute territory.
Nice patch at the beginning Bo. Looks like I might be coming out of GAS retirement lol
An analog 2 way vector synth , cool
Nice One.
So what about us Matrixbrute owners? Will there be an update to add six voice polyphony?
Okay, you poor musicians out there...like me... I watched this video in awe (thanks Bo) and immediately begin calculating in my brain the possibilities while my other side of brain listens to sound treats (nice patch creation Bo). But this is a flagship, flagships are meant to be on stage and do the work of 3 or more synths. So after the reviews and study of this synth I think of how to re-create the sonic possibilities of the PolyBrute in my little studio using the gear I have, or adding a synth for around $500.00 to complete the job. Combinations of synths if chosen wisely can bring us poor musicians close to the PolyBrute capabilites. For stage musicians though, this is BIG, another great synth from Arturia.
Wilderness Music Excellent point you make. These flagship synths can provide textures to inspire us to work harder and smarter with our existing equipment. All too easy to flash a credit card and lose the fun of the journey. Guilty as charged, but out of cash now!
Somebody says It sounds "thin". Is It true? Wich do you recommend between this and a Sequential take five in terms of quality of vcos and filter ? I've sold my XD cause to me It sounds more "Digital" and cold than i expect. Thanks Bo !
Ok guys...opinions please. This or the Jupiter X? Keeping in mind I have a Fantom on the way? Thank you!
This or Behringer Deep Mind 12 + all their anolog synth modules?
great video Bo as always its a little more than what I wanted to pay for it though
This is one HELL of a synth. It's a shame they didn't go with at least 8 voices, but meh, it's still an amazing looking and sounding synth. Thanks Bo.
yeah more voices are always welcome. no one says no to it 😅
Any idea whether this is digital or analogue?
It’s all analog except the fx
@@danielpirone8028 Awesome, thanks man.
Where are the great patches??
Very nice. Like an easier to use Prophet 2000 and more.
The gas, it hurts...
The only thing that helps stop the gas is that it is only 6 voices...other than that I can't find any faults, and it sounds great.
It is brilliant, and it makes my apartment shake more than the matrix brute did.
Sounds wonderful but why only six voice poly at £2,259? I mean it's doable but 8 or 12 would have been better.
I'm a little foggy on morphing - how is that different from a mixer switching from A to B channel? And how does layering work with only 6 voices? Where does it top out? (noob questions perhaps - coming from digital keyboards previously so I'm now looking to dip a toe into analog synths, but I'm still curious).
I guess it's not a mix of 2 sounds. Its one sound, with the parameters travelling together from one lot of settings to another ... probably!
Feature-rich, exciting, gorgeous, and chockful of creative possibilities.
At the same time... at around U$2,500 it costs nearly 20% more than an ASM Hydrasynth(49)+Deepmind 12 combo, and (when properly set up) the latter could be considered superior in some aspects. (Or not.) I have the MatrixBrute and I'd never trade it for this Poly, but it's still incredibly tempting...
Hydrasynth + DeepMind 12 = Massively powerful poly set up! That Hydrasynth is so amazing. The DM12 is the best bang for the buck polysynth on the market. Together? Wow!
wow great video!! that thing is beautiful!!!!
I love this. But why would you spend $2500 on 6 voices when you could get an 8 or 16 voice poly like a Rev2? Serious question.
Assessing a synth's worth by number of voices is like assessing a guitar's worth by number of strings.
the sound, dcos vs vcos, etc
Why would you spend ANY money on ANY synth when you can buy a $200 MIDI keyboard and connect it to thousands of dollars worth of software that get you astronomically more sonic possibilities than the standalone synth while a random sample of listeners won't be able to tell the difference between the software and hardware sounds?
This review is exquisite. I see is not exact same instrument than matrixbrute. No angle panel and lost of CVs, but for only 400 usd more is an incredible analog polyphonic synth for the price. Thanks
just a hardware thought..I wonder why they didn't put the morph knob more in the center of the console? And make it a slightly larger size to distinguish it from the bank of same sized ones.
Good question!!
