  • Find out how to fully moisturize your low porosity type 4 hair. Low porosity natural hair is when the hair cuticles are compacted and doesn't allow moisture to penetrate the hair strand as easily.
    The key is to avoid build up on the hair strand and assist in opening the hair cuticle to allow more moisture to reach the inner layer of hair known as the cortex.
    There are certain techniques to care for low porosity hair such as
    -adding steam to your conditioning sessions
    -using lighter weight products
    -using penetrating oils
    -limiting the use of protein products
    -washing the hair with warm water
    -using clarifying or sulfate shampoos

    Very informative video! Me & my daughter have low porosity hair. We use lighter products on our hair. I experienced protein overload awhile back. Got rid of some products cause just about every one had protein in it. Even down to the shampoo. Now I look at the ingredients before buying that product.

    I found out about my low porosity hair and maybe 3 years ago I was watching Samantha Erica and I tried it after I wash my hair
    Still to this point or that point I wasn't using heat I went on for oh my goodness maybe a few months and then after that I started using heat to my hair and this really helped my hair tremendously it started to thrive I even made a video about the baggy method because that really helps my hair and also when I deep condition with heat that really helps my hair to hasn't just noticed an awesome change in my hair strands thumbs up on this video you look very beautiful you're always beautiful but you look very beautiful thank you God bless you👍💕🙏

    Hello I'm about 4 months post relaxer.. Do I need to know my porosity levels now?

    • @Tyiece
      @Tyiece  Před 4 lety +5

      No not yet because the relaxed section will be a different porosity. Do it a few months after the big chop

    If you have a thicker moisturizer like the ors hair lotion would you suggest diluting it with water or maybe aloe Vera juice?

    Notice how she sounds very intelligent in hair porosity, but she did not give us examples of products to purchase/try with “penetrating oil” vs “sealant oils”?
