You have to understand that the league is divided into 3 stages. First 15 games, second 15 and last 8 games. The pressure of each stage is totally different. If you keep messing up the same final stage every single year, then it doesn’t matter if you had a flawless second stage. We dropped 9 points against West Ham home, Villa away and Newcastle away where we shouldn’t have lost, those are the games I feared will cost us. We dropped points where we set up to win and he’s changed games in our favour where we’ve struggled, this isn’t a manager issue.

We played UCL on Tuesday which we drew, Villa played their game on Thursday won it. They had less time to prepare and they beat us not at home but away. We are bottlers. I looked at the lineup and asked my brother who do we have in midfield? We only had Declan and Odegaard. I couldn't see were Jesus, Trossard and Havertz played. I think Mikel has himself to blame here, he underestimated Villa.

I mean he's on target to keep the most clean sheets this season but we all know he's not the best goalie in the league. That being said he suits our style of play. This game had more to do with our offensive deficiencies. Havertz went through 3 times today, no goal. Jesus missed a header from 7 yards, trossard missed a sitter that you'd have bet your house on. We reverted to our form before Dubai, only God knows why Arteta changed the winning formula.

Arteta has considerably watered down this club. First, by overpaying for an AVERAGE player. Yes, Havertz is bang average. He’s not a bad player, but as average as they come. The biggest downgrade from last year is Havertz to replace Xhaka. Huge mistake. The second mistake and one that gets overlooked is the keeper situation. Raya was another overhyped player.

We played UCL on Tuesday which we drew, Villa played their game on Thursday won it. They had less time to prepare and they beat us not at home but away. We are bottlers. I looked at the lineup and asked my brother who do we have in midfield? We only had Declan and Odegaard. I couldn't see were Jesus, Trossard and Havertz played. I think Mikel has himself to blame here, he underestimated Villa.

You could see the balance was off in the team with zinchenko and havertz in the first 15mins as we was so open to the counter. Its just so frustrating that arteta went back to something that we know was not working at the start of the season. Just stick with the double pivot and be hard to beat.
Conversations need to happen around Martinelli and if he needs replacing, you think he’s better then Saka but he’s not doing the business. We can upgrade there and in the striker position.

@@jakelister5152 It’s more over the whole season and if he’s good enough to win us games. We don’t have a high volume goalscorer up top so Martinelli has to do more in the front line. We’ve lost games earlier in the season where we’ve played well but ended up with no points, you need a clinical goalscorer for those moments.
