Huge. Pass.
at 3:42, something you missed ... the wizard garb on the hooks probably from Fantasia.
Dude, the adds are horrible enough, dont ruin your name with this mobile game... it's just a money munched nobody wants to play.
@CaptainEggcellent
Did you know in one of the missions in the division 2 theres a printer that allows you to use it. If you use it and use ur sniper scope to look at the printed peace of paper it states "this report has been seiged. Dont let it get in the hands of the public"
Money talks I get it.
3:38
That is a reference to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, in which Harry uses the Basilisk’s tooth to stab Tom Riddle’d diary.
I saw that! Honestly chamber of secrets deserves more love in my opinion. Great movie!
I saw that too😊
I prefer the books, but I do agree that the movies have their moments. Prisoner of Azkaban sure did some things better than the book did, like Harry being a fan of flying with Buckbeak.
and the mage robe and hat is from the magician In fantasia. you know, the one where Mickey takes the hat and floods the place with lots of mops
The staff is from pandamonium i think
I have a detail I never seen you mention, in Cyberpunk on the mission "Blistering Love" you take Rogue on a date as Johnny silverhand if you pick her up with Johnnys Old Porsche which is a secret you can find and unlock in the previous mission she will have hidden dialogue and acknowledge the car
Already been covered
I definitely don't mind the back to the future easter egg as much, its much more creative than usual and its a detail you would've actually had to see in the movies to notice.
Yeah I feel like it doesn’t qualify for overused Easter egg of the week because it’s not the delorean
Yeah this one gets a pass, it’s not a reference to the Delorean which is the go to reference for any game.
In Lego Jurassic World, all the raptors have their long claws on their innermost toes, except the raptor skeleton, which has the long claw on its middle toes. This is a reference to a movie mistake in the first film, where Alan Grant claims that raptors had the claws on their middle toes during the dig scene, but later in the film, the actual raptors met have it on their innermost toes. It's also an acknowledgement that the dinosaurs cloned aren't entirely accurate to their ancestors. By
Recorded it after your recommendation and it will be in the next details video 👍🏻
Actually, not the next one, the one after lol. Forgot I had a video scheduled.
Holy bro made an essay
4:49 I was waiting for, "Hello? Hello!"
Same
I was waiting for a jumpscare
On the shelves, the green book with the blade stuck in it is a reference to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets when Harry uses the Basilisk tooth on the book.
Also hanging on the rack looks like Mickey Mouses wizard costume.
And this may be a stretch, but the skull cup with the swirly straws looks like it's maybe from the first Scooby-Doo live action movie?
@3:38 I believe the jar of eyeballs is from the Mystery Shack in Gravity Falls, and that Jester baton is definitely triggering my memory. I want to say it was held by a villain in an old game.
Hero, actually..one of the two playable characters from the PS1 games Pandemonium and Pandemonium 2.
A jar of eyeballs can also be a reference to the first blade runner movie.
Freddy's theme is called Toredor March(sp?).
True. It was composed for the Carmen opera.
It's actually "Toreador" but CZcams's search will probably get what you mean either way.
@D_YellowMadness DX I knew I had forgotten something. Thank ya kindly for letting me know.
Oh.. The Bite of 87'..
The back to the future egg isnt overused, if it was overused it would just be something like the delorean.
The Book in the Wardrobe is a reference to Harry Potter, its Tom Riddle's (Voldemort's) Diary that got stabbed by the Basilisks Tooth, in the same room we have the staff in the bottom right corner that could be a reference to the PSX Game Pandemonium
Also the starred wizards robe and hat is a Fantasia one from Sorcerer's Apprentice where Mickey dresses in them
I dont think it's fantasia, Mickey's robe is red and yen Sid's is plain blue. Same ith merlin.
I'd thought Simon the sorcerer, but only his hat is starry.
3:35 the pointed hat and jacket with the stars is definitely the ones Mickey Mouse wore in "the sorcerer's apprentice" in Fantasia
2:45 I originally thought that it was a reference to Mr.Peabody. from Mr.Peabody and Sherman because, Mr.Peabody is a really smart dog. But Einstein did make a lot more sense.
“KEE KEE… ha ha”
- Jason Voorhees, a smooth murderous criminal
3:21 ai was not expecting a Pandemonium! Easter egg in this day and age
The soundtrack and gameplay was awesome!
Ah, so I wasn't the only one to notice that one. Or to remember the games. :-)
Omg somebody noticed this og Sega Saturn game hell fucking yeah bro that game was the shit growing up
One thing to add to The Looker's secret ending video, the guy blurts out "I was in a coma the whole time!" ... Which is a nod to a massively overused trope in movies and TV of "everything being a dream" in the end, normally ending up the guy was just in a coma the whole time.
captain eggcelent :"dial 1987"
me :"IT'S THE BITE OF '87"
I love Freddy vs. Jason.
Guy on the front lawn in The Wardrobe looks like Pinhead so that could be a referance.
Thank you for featuring my suggestion. I always enjoy seeing 'The Looker' pop up in your videos. I saw that puzzle in the video though (8:13) and was worried for a second you were going to feature the 'obelisk'. 🤣
I really wanted to 😂😂
At 3:22, I see Mickey's robe from Fantasia next to Minnie's hair bow
The book with the fang in it in the wardrobe is a reference to harry potter and the chamber of secrets where he stabbed the book with Voldemort's soul in it with the Basilisk's fang to kill Voldemort.
Plus, about THE FINALS: if you inspect any reward from levelling up any of the specialisations, and flip the card around, if you angle the smooth black surface of the card upwards, towards the light, you can see fingerprints on it. Very cool detaik
Ignoring enemies isn't normally the style for the trigger happy, chaos loving Lagomoprha🤔
People are saying below about the stabbed book being Tom Riddle's diary, but I wanted to mention some possible bits also from that picture: the bat with nails in it might be a reference to Negan from the Walking Dead, the hockey stick could be one for Casey Jones of the Ninja Turtles franchise, and the mop might be one for the Toxic Avenger. However, nothing definitively points to that, just what I think when I see them. Could just be random items, for all I know.
In Atomic Heart when entering the Neptune complex area being an underwater city, your character refers to it as "A rapture", being an obvious reference to the underwater city Rapture in the BioShock games that heavily inspired it.
Captain, don’t you ever think you’re alone in liking Freddy vs Jason, I saw that shit in theaters and I love it to this day
still waiting on the skyrim cart somewhere in 76. Would be a challenge to find without Vintage Nukashine
The wardrobe. Jester staff looks like the one from ps1 game Pandemonium
4:04 sadly daft punk are sadly no longer around
Very true it is sad
@@StarCrow77Gaming I only found out this few weeks back
If this hasn't already been mentioned, I think at 4:07 the dude with the mowhawk is the default character from Sunset Overdrive
In Left 4 Dead 2 you have the midnight riders in universe. Fun fact: You can find most of their songs on jukeboxes including a new one in the Passing campaign. They also have a website for the Midnight Riders describing the band, their lore, and even a christmas song called "All I want for Christmas is to kick your ass". For a game released so long ago they put a lot of detail into this band specifically.
On another note: In the dark carnival campaign Nick and Rochelle both have lines indicating they dont know who the Riders are whereas Coach and Ellis do. Thats why Coach and Ellis are the only survivors with specific voice lines when you're on the stage looking into the mic. They usually sing a couple lines from some of the songs. But you have to have the lights on first for those lines to appear.
3:42 the staff with the jester head is Sid from PS1 game Pandemonium! (yes the actual title used exclamation mark)
3:43 the rug is making me think of Coraline (2009)
3:38 stick from the game pandemonium
3:40 the book is the diary of Tom Riddle aka Voldemort. The fang is the basilisk fang from The Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets
That stick with the jesters head on the right hand side is a reference to the game Pandemonium. Loved that game as a kid
In fallout 4 there is a building called the Med-Tek facility, and if you go deep inside the complex you can find a fridge where two teddy bears are having some "fun time" in.
The Book is from the second Harry Potter Movie. Where Harry stabs the Horkrux with a Basilisk Fang 3:46
3:47
The rug is a reference to Dutch painter, Piet Mondrain, and his art done in a similar fashion.
Not a huge detail, but its a pretty neat inclusion.
I don't know if this has been featured before or if it even counts, but Emmett is a minor villain in vehicle shooter MMO Crossout's story mode whose vehicle is also an overused video game easter egg.
Near the Fallout 76 doghouse you can find a different doghouse with a dog bowl and a skeleton riding the small doghouse. Which refers to snoopy
3:42 the scepter on the right with the jester on it is the same one used by the main character of the Eidos published Toys for Bob (Pandemonium) and Crystal Dynamics (Pandemonium 2) developed series Pandemonium for PC and PS1.
I think the jester stick in the corner is from that PS1 game Pandamonieum?
4:43
I instantly knew what this was when you said the number.
My heart dropped as I was expecting a jumpscare, as what usually happens in the game.
Same
I have candidate for Over Used Video Game Easter Egg of the Week. Two days ago in WW2 Rebuilder on map Necropolis (or London Necropolis) is reference to bonfire from Dark Souls series. It's located in locked room by chappel. Key for said room is in locker room/workshop on ground floor of train station. After unlocking room there is fireplace on right wall with sword sticking out of (almost burned) embers. walk to it until shows prompt for 'use' key. After that flames shows in fireplace and you got message that bonfire has been lit.
Jason is so iconic he even appears in kids games.
Chompy, Aku Aku, Mandrake, wizard hat and Rob from fantasia hanging up, the dairy with the basilisk fang in its from Harry potter.
At 3:12 the plane engine in the roof of the house is a reference to donnie darko as well.
3:42 the book is a harry potter reference when harry used the basilisk tooth to stab Tom’s diary.
On roboquest unlocking the new character "superbot" will give you a cutscene that references batman and his parents sad demise !!
In Fallout 76, near Tanagra Town, on a collapsed Wall is the phrase "Darmok ❤ Jalad" which is a reference to Star Trek The Next Generation episode "Darmok"
In Sons of the forest, if you approach Virginia and make your character nod (move view up and down), she will respond with a verbal agreement and sometimes a thumbs up! If you try to do it to Kelvin, he will always shake his head no (for some reason).
In Wardrobe the wizard’s cloak and hat are Mickey Mouse’s, the bow tie is Minnie’s. And the clown nose and jester’s staff on the right side of the coatrack would be Harley Quinn’s from my best guess
I'm not sure if you've done it but in halo 3 ODST if you play uplift reserve and end the mission in any of the vehicles (chopper, warthog, or ghost) Dutch will jump out of THAT vehicle. It's different for sure.
Bite of 87 was when Mangle bit Jeremy Fitzgerald, A child was bit by Fredbear in 83
Hey I found a hidden detail you might like. In HiFi Rush on the level Less Budget, More Problems you can find an older robot who wishes to see Macaron. If you summon him and talk to the robot at the same time they will interact. The game does not tell you this
The funny thing about multiversus is while it is child friendly you can switch on mature filter that let's harley, rick and morty swear
In the original Star Wars Dark Forces if you type the cheat code LACDS (which gives you the full map) on mission 8 you will see that Max from Sam and Max is on the map
"The wardrobe is probably has the the most Easter eggs!" Terraria: imma end this mans whole career.
I think the dude that's headbanging is a guy from Sally Face.
My first thought was turok on the Xbox 360. Mohawk is definitely different but the display on the shirt he’s we’re made me think about it
Not sure if you covered this one but in the game squad when playing as the insurgent sapper the cell phone detonator's clock is set to your IRL time Which i find to be a nice detail
I don't remember the name but the robes and tie on the hanger are a reference to this one Disney cartoon where Mickey is a magician.
3:36, the robe and hat hanging on the wall to the right is likely a reference to the Wizard/Mickey from Fantasia. The orange portal looking carpet is possibly a reference to Portal, and the summoning circle on the right..idk, lol.
The familiar book is from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, it's Tom Riddle's Diary. Also, the cloak and hat are Yen Sid's outfit from Disney's Fantasia.
The wizard robe and hat are from Community, episode "The Science of Illusion".
As soon you say 1987, i knew it’s either “ Was that the bite of 87’!?” or something that related to it 💀
The book in the wardrobe is a reference to Harry Potter, it's a magic diary that Harry destroys with a basilisk tooth
in The Expanse: a Telltale series, on the second level inside a spaceship wreck you can find a container of Klav Kalash, this is a reference of the street food Homer Simpson eats in the episode The city of New York vs. Homer Simpson, the 1 episode of the 9 season.
In the Wardrobe you missed the book on the shelf. It's a reference to Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets. That's Tom Riddle's book.
The book with the tooth in it from "the wardrobe" is also Harry Potter when he stabbed Tom Riddles diary with the basilisk fang, the wizard outfit with the stars on it MIGHT be a reference to fantasia but I'm VERY unsure about that one, and the little red bow on the coat rack is Minnie mouses. That's all the ones I saw🤷🏻
Hey i got one
In sleeping dogs, if you take a bag, purse, or umbrella, npc's will follow you until you drop it or "hand it back" (throw it at them mach 1)
Also with the umbrellas, if its raining and you exit a car with one equipped, Wei will unlock the umbrella
I wouldn't say Aperture Science is evil, just morale ambiguous. Also I don't think the dog house in 76 is a reference to Back To The Future, I think it maybe a sherman and peabody reference
Randals Monday has quite a lot of easter eggs, don't know if you've ever checked it out before
The eyballs in the jar on the shelf is a reference to gravity falls where the same jar is in the opening scene and often on the counter of the mystery shack
The book that you pointed out is the Tom riddles diary from Harry Potter, and the chamber of secrets, Harry stabbed the diary with a basilisk fang
3:40 the stick to the right is a reference to the Pandemonium, a game from PS1 :D
the staff on the far right ofthe room at the stamp 3:45 is the staff from the old old game called pandemonium where the main charecter is a jester
1:31 The lamp holding and reference has to be from The Talos Principal. Not sure what Portal has to do with it.
And maybe you've already talked about it, but i feel like the blue sword in Melon Playground is a reference to Dark Soul's Moonlight Greatsword. Maybe just a coincidence though.
The jester cane looking thing in the room with Aku Aku in it is used by the jester in Pandemonium 2
In doom eternal the 1993 skin has a scar on his arm as a reference to the title cover of that game were he was depicted getting scratched by a demon
In melon playground I wish that instead of playing Freddy's little song you could just hear Markiplier screaming "WAS THAT THE BITE OF '87?!"
Unless you mentioned it in another video, I'm surprised you didn't mention pinhead from the hellraiser franchise lying pantless in a puddle in the first shot of the wardrobe game you showed.
4:43
the goat on the wall named Chompy is from the cartoon The Fairly Odd Parents
(edit: i missed it when you mentioned this, sorry for the inconvenience lol)
Please, talk about the achievement references in gears tactics, they talk about pulp fiction, pirates of the caribbean, himym, etc.
The book with the tooth in is a reference to Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets
5:41 its the bite of 83 but the bite of 87 is where an Animatronic we dont know which one Attacked a security guard the guard lived but top of his head was damaged severely
3:21 I may be trippin but that hat and cloak reminds me of Sorcerer Yen Sid
3:44 I’m pretty sure that’s bob the snail from cool math games website lol
3:35, the snail on the shelf might be Gary from SpongeBob. Others have said the Robe and wizard hat are from Fantasia, but Mickey wore a red Robe and Yen Sid wore a pure blue one. It might be a mistake, though. But, I am pretty sure the bow in between them is Minnie Mouse's. The red nose could be just about anything, or nothing at all.
Wait, isn't that the cane from Pandemonium on the right? That's a deep fucking cut!
3:42 That robe reminds me about one of point'n'click games from 90s. At first I thought it was reference to Discworld, but... different color, so it's in fact closer to Simon The Sorcerer look in my opinion.. And speaking about that bat like thing with jokers face.. Seems to be refernece to Joker?Harley in my opinion.. (Tho I know there was game with similiar motive on bat :D)
Oh! And there's Spongebob's Snail, Gnarly?
3:33
The tooth in the book is Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets
The robe and hat look like they're from Fantasia with Minnie's bow
So THAT'S what the Jason Moonwalk was referencing!! I thought it was a Michael Jackson reference because he was an 80s icon.
The book is the diary for harry potter and the chamber of secrets. The jester cane I think could be a referance to the ps1 game pandimonium, but not sure. and the wizard robe and cap could be referancing a number of things so i'm not sure on that one.
The book you pointed out in The Wardrobe is another Harry Potter reference. Specifically to Chamber of Secrets, when they stab Tom Riddle's (Voldemort's) Diary with the fang of the Basilisk.
Also, Melon Playground? I thought it was People Playground? Is Melon Playground a separate game? Or did they get forced to censor the original game?
The Mohawk guy is from guitar hero
Not gonna lie the jar of eyes at 3:21 on the shelf for some reason reminded me of the gravity falls into where near the end it was a similar jar with eyes just without a lid
3:40 The book could be a from Harry Potter and Chamber of secrets where harry stabs Tom Riddle's diary with the basilisk's tooth.
The Coat and hat on the rack could be a reference to Merlin from Disney's movie or Kingdom Hearts.
The Pentagram could be Doom
3:43 the purple and red staff/walking stick thing with the jester head on the right hand side is from the PS1 game Pandemonium, one of the main characters, named Fargus, holds it.
It came out on Sega Saturn first but yes it is
