    i wanna do a style like this for my formal, is it hard to do on yourself? and how long does it take? beautiful work btw 🤗

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  Před 3 lety +7

      Hey!! Yes it’s really hard to do this on yourself to be honest. It’s hard to get the angle right in the back. It takes me about an hour to do this on a client as a professional hairdresser. The key to it is spinning the hair before wrapping it around the curling wand. Goodluck! :)

    Awesome tutorial!! Is there a particular place or site you recommend to buy mannequin heads? Real human hair and not too expensive. I’ve bought two so far on Amazon but they are never true to length in description and heads are smaller than a toddlers. So frustrating. I would like long hair to practice styling and updos. If you have any info that could help me that would be great. 🙏🏾 thanks

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  Před 3 lety +2

      Hey Gabriel! Omg this is seriously my struggle too because I want a bunch more but all the ones that I see being recommended are an absolute fortune. I bought this one on AliExpress and I love the hair but I needed to give her a solid cut and layers plus her entire face was my makeup application. I added everything including a glitter cut crease and lashes. Got super depressed and missed my clients during quarantine and literally gave every mannequin I owned a super glam makeover. 😂 She wasn’t beautiful when I bought her but if you’re creative, you can transform them!

      @GlamGirlGabi  Před 3 lety +2

      @@reenatuaoi8271 it doesn’t have to be long. I typically leave it until the hair has cooled down and is not hot to the touch anymore
