Sacrificing your life to trying to climb the corporate ladder or chase that bag is fine but if our world goes to shit (which we seem close to) all of that will be for nothing. Go learn how to farm.     All the money in the world is not going to replace your family. Work hard and provide for your family but if you are working so much that you miss your kids growing up then you are a failure.

    Those who want to be great put in the effort and chose that lifestyle (watch to chase success etc), is THEIR CHOICE. That lifestyle is not for everyone. Each to their own.

    No. He's wrong. Those people all worked for themselves. We are not working for ourselves. We're working for someone else to get rich and we get a paycheck. In our later years these companies are going to let us go because they have no loyalty.
    The least that I can get is work life balance because salary is also a pittance.

    ok, but the 40-hour workweek is bulls**t, and it is NOT work-life balance.
    i've been saying for years that people should get to work one day, and then have the next day off.
    y'all will not believe how many people have called me "weak," "lazy," and "too much of a dreamer" when i mention this!

    I do not care whatsoever to be a multimillionaire making work my life and trying to be wealthy. That is not living for me whatsoever. I have 3-4 days off a month and I'm satisfied, however, I don't want to work my life away like my grandfather and father did. I spend very little time with my young son. I would never associate with this guy.

    And it’s not a good thing , is a sacrifice done in the exchange for a multibillion dollar business , this doesn’t apply to 99% of people who just want to have a regular job and some work life balance to spend time with their family ….     Dont force me... I did join a brawl to demand work life balance with my boss... I quit to find a smaller but more friendly company to get WLB and I did it... So I can say... If your desire for WLB are big enough to get into a brawl like me you will literally get it.

    Does regular work-life balance, mean a 50-50 split. For me, I love my work, the grind, can't stop it. So I would have done an 85-15 split. Does he mean that those billionaires have very little to no rest? Or what?

      Im suprised to find out 40 hours a week is a hard thing? I work about 9 to 10 hours monday to friday. Tbh in a good work sched for me is monday to saturday. 6:00-2:30. Yes im willing to work up to saturday as long as its mostly until 2:00 or half day😂 but ofc that will never happen
