This is sport Silat. The goal is to take down the opposition using basic principles of Silat that is sweep, throws, knee breaker to break the opposition balance and posture and to a certain extent lock where possible. Well, that's basically what this sparring tournament is about but be advised I'm not an expert on Silat but only know enough and generally. You have to look up the internet for more info.

scissors takedown is banned in judo and BJJ because it can quite literally blew all the tendon on the guy that got taken down
