One of the things I always noticed about Richard Gere back in the day was that he had such a unique walk, a strut, that made you feel as if you were watching a panther move.😊
Could've been the gerbils🤷♂️
Sir Davos has come a long way.
his career was always an up and down path...but after he messed up here, he became a smuggler
Can you imagine how a Police-less Period Time it must of been like back then?!!
No Constabulary.
No Emergency Services.
People had to save themselves!
Actores que se ganaron su estatus con grandes interpretaciones..... Sean Connery, Julia Ormond y Richard Gere, wow Ben Croos.
Not exactly a well written scene, but Julia Ormond was very pretty back in the day.
plastic armour and no helmets should do the trick.
and shiny silver paint
who cares? when it still looks good?
Agreed. Another suggestion is we go to Wallmart and poundshops for most of the outfits
Big Gerbil Energy.
That was one of the Great movies ❤ 9:53
My kingdom for a chainsaw!
О времена, нравы
Просто протягиваешь руку и говоришь пора..
И все
Правда прекрасно👍
Not the egreatest movie but that kiss. That wonderful kiss between Lancelot and Genevere !
Классный фильм ❤😂😊
Plate armour was not in use back then, it was either chainmail or hardened leather with iron plates rivetted to it. I had not noticed before that Richard Gere had such a large nose but he can certainly act well !
I love this movie. Fun....and something casual. You can enjoy with the ither half fkr sure.
Is that Sir John Gielgud? Amazing cast😅
Yep. I remember an anecdote about him while he was filming a movie(no idea what film), but supposedly one day he wasn't feeling well and sent the director an apology letter writing that he could not show up for work because "Gielgud does not Fielgud".
@@johnlloyddy7016 That's funny!
I don’t think her guard would have pursued the bandits. They would have stayed with their principal, chopped the tree and got moving as fast as possible
obviously, the script is trash.
One of the biggest rules of battle at the time, you never give a retreating force the opportunity to regroup. They thought the enemy was routed, they pushed the advantage. What they didn't conceive of was a second main force right there, standing by and watching their men getting slaughtered.
Excalibur was the best
Yes indeed
Now you're talking.
He was send from the Sky
4:24 Hey it's that meanie from GOT who stabbed Maester Luwin with a spear!
Trying to connect headphones to this movie on my tv’😢
Immer wieder schöööön❤❤❤❤
"Wait, wait" why? The advantage of cavalry is mobility. A horse isn't a shield wall.
"It's all right, it's all right..." our guards rode off, what could possible go wrong.
It's a movie about non-existent people in an imaginary story; much like the stories of Robin Hood (never existed). So, they can tell whatever tale they want, however they want - like "Starwars". Enjoy it.
Proof, as Connery said "Hollywood makes shit"
He had no trouble profiting from it
@@bunaziulica5776😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
You’ve had me in stitches. So funny👍👍👍
Cracher dans la soupe n est pas digne d un gentleman
Oh boy...
They were all young,
and needed the money.....
😂
Brad Pitt would have made a good Lancelot. Did hook up with Julia Ormond in Legends of the Fall.
Richard Gere is good in a movie called "The Double"
The villains name should have been sir arrogant.
The best film ever..
Are you serious? 😂
“Nobody said anything about all the stabbing”
I forgot how terrible this movie was...haha.... thanks for the reminder!
Richard Gere was Richard Gere regardless the century.
Isn't that Davos from game of thrones?
Yup, so he was a swordsman after all😂
🥂
Helmets
Underrated Movie.
I would argue the exact opposite.
@@LeninovaPles ,
Different Strokes for Different Folks...
@@LeninovaPles It’s obviously corny and unrealistic, but it also had an overall story that’s as old as time and gives you the feels.
What a fancy carriage for somewhere between 350 and 800 CE.
This movie is what you would call a guilty pleasure. Probably one of the dumbest movies ever made, but I enjoyed it.
Did the helmet take a day off ??????🤔
also neards off 🤣
Casual Armour Day.
This movie could've been epic except for one thing: casting the very American Richard Gere as the very English Lancelot. Yes, I know an actor's job is to act, and there are a few American actors who can pull off a perfect British accent and vice versa, but Richard Gere is not one of those. Don't get me wrong, he's been one my favorite actors for years, just not for this film.
I had never seen this, and I'm glad I hadn't. BORING.
Who was he suppose to be... The Black Knight?
SoCal Knight.
I don't get it. "Social Night?"

Should have had ditches!
I believe I know that reference. It's that guy that judges the accuracy of battles in movies correct?
@@shago6684 lol yup
She looks like she's perpetually on the verge of completely breaking down in tears. Ugh annoying acting.
What kind of body armour is this? I am pretty it did NOT existed anytime anywhere in the Middle Ages.
For the Love of God. Why do directors always have riders jeking the horse’s head around and why do theyinseert neighing sounds. I’ve been riding horses more of less a minimum of 3x a week for 36 years - not counting deployed time - and as an adult and never once did any of my horses neigh when I mounted.
Perfectly right !!!
a well trained war horse certainly wouldn't make a sound. This is hollywood bull
To be fair, experienced horse riders probably comprise less than 1% of the viewing audience, so...
5:30 Holly Molly, good luck princess, fuck this shit, i´m out!
Only men fight, women rather make apple pies.
Wow. What a load of shit 🤣
Les fantassins.ne se battent pas contre les cavaliers..mais contre les Chevaux !! Un cheval qui se cabre violemment sous la douleur, désarconne son cavalier!!
Richard Gere was definitely the worst swordsman in Movie History. ❤😂
And I have to say this movie has got to be in the top 50 worst movies ever made.
But one thing it did do was display the fact Richard Gere is a genuinely shitty actor ❤😂
But it's still movie of my childhood.
yeah, but Uma Thurman and Ralph Fiennes in The Avengers makes the top 10
@jackoneill8654 Yeah that was pretty stupid as well. It's like we're compiling a list of Sean Connery's worst money grab roles 😂❤️

King Arthur had Lancelot. The GOP has, “Sir-Farts-a-Lot;” And he comes in diarrhea-bronze face coloring!
Exactly the juvenile and unsophisticated response we've all come to expect from those of your ilk.

Yes truly awful
Richard Gere looked totally out of place in this film. All the other actors worked well, but, he was a jarring false note, in an otherwise, well played sonata.

What a joke of a movie
Craptacular
Is this the worst movie of all time? I don't know. Ed Wood could give it a run for it's money. Let's look at what they got wrong: speaking modern English in the 6th century, plate armor centuries before it's invention, horses that weren't bred for centuries, swords that wouldn't exist for centuries, post-Norman ideals of Courtly Love 5 centuries too early, 11th century castles in the sixth century, heraldic symbols centuries before heraldry was conceived and so forth. All in all, this film is a piece of crap.
Unbelievably shit film. Unless it was a joke.
Badly made film
Yes crap movie...Richard...yum yum
People slating this film but it was a good Sunday film as a kid. If it was remade today it’d be the woman fighting off ten men to save a non binary night who got separated from his lesbian king 🤣
amazingly hokey and terrible. Direction is awful. Costumes cartoonish. Geer was not the best actor but he was very well connected. The walk is contrived and regardless, he used it in all his roles. Its not a wonder that he has not really acted in anything significant in many years. Guinevere was miscast but the actress they used was working a lot at the time....
What a stupid thing to suggest that knights or any type of medieval warrior fought in battle without a helmet. Hollywood likes to show the actors faces but there goes even the faintest sense of realism.
And that's not even the worst in this movie or in this scene.
This movie is TERRIBLE. I think only a chick could like it.
No diversity to be found.
really awful movie!
It really was wasn't it?
Awful in what way?
One of the worst movie ever made!
Worst of the worst
i love the movie!
Great movie ❤
It’s one of a list of what we call in our house an SBG , (shit but good) . We kind of know it’s not a classic movie, but it’s easy watching and entertaining, so it does the job. It’s Sunday afternoon on the sofa relaxing with a couple of drinks in you , a full belly and putting your feet up.
It always made me titter how everyone looks so groomed and clean, in the dark ages people juts didn’t look like this or live like this, not even the monarchy. If you want a more authentic King Arthur movie, then Excalibur for the early 80s is great, dark, gritty and violent. That’s the best King Arthur related movie for me.
…and the worst casting for Lancelot.
Considering the big name cast it was a truly awful movie. Gere wielding a plainly one handed sword with both hands. The phoney armour. Crossbows used like handguns. Can't even begin to figure out what it had to do with Arthurian legend.
Hey but John Gielgud mailing it in and cashing big check
