    One thing that I've learned about 80s pop dancing from like my mom and aunts and stuff is that dancers back then used their WHOLE body to move. They didn't just shake their asses like twerkers do or just put emphasis on one body part, they put in work and used the entire body to dance, Paula is great example of that, I love her, amazing dancer/choreographer.

Sometimes when I take dance class nowadays, I can remember choreography but just for a short time (like a week or two), because every week it's new. First of all. MJ James Brown Sammy Davis Jr don't need "choreography" for people to appreciate them. These guys were known for their body movements and not what and which choreography they did. MJ's Billie Jean had stadiums roaring. Even when he did little improvisations. What you said applies little more to females.

      Shauna&MJJ 1190 I'm not at all saying the dancers should not be appreciated, and I'll leave it at this, in reference to MJ, his "silo improvisations" that people think are so original, while yes, there's no denying he was an amazing dancer, but his moves, he got a lot of them from jazz choreographer legend Bob Fosse. look up the video"Little Prince, Bob Fosse" ( it will say sssnake in the grass) watch that and be blown away. MJ totally took his style of moving that we know so well, from Fosse.

      Is there any other artist besides Paula Abdul who does music and also choreographs it? She sang throughout her whole "Under My Spell Tour" and choreographed everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Janet and coming to America are my favorites

  • @alysiamerdavid-wasser9165

    She's such a doll. i miss the late 80s. Women's fashion was angular, (or baggy) & we hadn't yet discovered pilates, so we all still had an hourglass shape bc of black minis, or hips bc: shorts & suspenders. The big hair also gave us an oval face, (though i DON'T miss hours of crimping, curling, perming, frying, "Sun-In", & Aqua-net) nor pastel eyeshadow, blue mascara, & neon lipstick, scrunchies, & nail color, lol! 😂😂 i didn't know Paula was so prolific! my favorite dance break was the first 30 seconds of "Cold Hearted Snake"! 😍
    She's a gem! ♊✌💗

    Ms. Abdul I’m a Gemini Sun Capricorn moon like you ❤️

    • @MoPoppins
      @MoPoppins Před 3 lety

      I love when Capricorn is in the moon placement. When I like a public figure in interviews, it’s usually because they have moon in Cap, and are so honest & candid-very refreshing. Not having it as the sun sign tempers the energy of Cap, so people are more likable, while still having the authenticity of a Cap.
