Yea bro it definitely is a great monitor. I have the Desview R7P monitor which is 7 inch but this R6 2800 nits brights is all I need. But since I have gh5 and the z cam I will use one monitor on each camera rig . 💪🎥🔥🔝

Where did you get the DC input cable?
Can I use any cable as long as it is up to 24V?
Hey I got this D-tap to DC cable that powers the monitor from the V-Mount battery from Amazon.
I did also use another DC cable that can power the monitor by plugging into the wall. I don’t 100% remember where I got this DC power cable from but I believe I got it from one of my other camera accessories like a wireless video transmitter or camera monitor or something. If I recall correctly the Desview monitor can accept a range of DC input power from 8v to 17v.

I bro I need some help. When I can my HDMI to my camera. When I Start recording, the monitor goes black with recording sign displayed. Please do you know why is that

Hi Leo, I’ve now watched your reviews on the R5II and R6. Not sure which to invest in as the both have their advantages, such as cost over Nits etc.. Can you please tell me which of the settings that you input through the monitor actually stays in the final recording on the camera’s SD card, such as Color, balance and LUT’s for example? Or do none of the settings you addd through monitor, hence you must add them all again in post production.Thanks.

I would go with the R6 because of the nits brightness. They basically both have the same menu features. About your question which features get recorded to the camera sd card. None of the features get recorded to the cameras sd card. You adjust those colors and balance in post production.
I think you are specifically asking about the LUTs. Yes these LUTs that we install on the monitor are just for help filming so we can see what it will look like in post production.
“ monitoring LUTs “ are for the cameras monitor like Desview r6 or R5II.
“ color grading LUTs “ are for post production color grading.

No there is no way to save those changes you made on the monitor and apply them in post production.
I would say all external camera monitors operate the same way. I have about 5 camera monitors and they all operate the same.
This is the workflow that most people use including myself.
First in post production you create a color grade with some sample footage. Once you are happy with the color grade in post production there is a option to export and save a LUT from the color grade that you made in post production.
Now you can upload that LUT you created in post production to the camera monitor. So now when your filming you will be able to see how it will look in post production. Once you are done filming and ready for post production you can now drag and drop that saved LUT to the video clips you filmed and they will look the same way as you filmed them.

I suppose it would be wishful thinking to have the look you want from the monitor to record straight on to the sd card. Thanks once again, and I will be watching out for future videos that you post.
@@pricklypickles yea man you have to color grade in post production if you want to have a certain look.
Depending what camera you are using you can load looks / profiles onto the camera and it will record to the sd card that way.
I own the gh6 and it might have that feature, or maybe I am thinking of the Lumix S5iix camera that has that feature.
Again in general and simply done, you can just go within your camera settings and adjust the video or photo profile to the way you like, for example more saturation or more contrast or the shadows and highlights and white balance and tint etc.
You can adjust those settings and save it as your own custom profile.

Have you looked for an anti glare screen protector? Seems like that would be a good investment.
Reason I ask is because I may be in the need for one too now :) and was hoping you had found one.

Yes there can be a glare depending how the light is hitting the screen. That’s a good idea about the anti glare screen protector. Didn’t really think of that. I wonder how that may effect the touch screen. If you see any good anti glare screen protector options online feel free to let me know and I’ll have a look and possibly try it out. hi bin gespannt wie die Aufnahmen mit dem Desview R6 werden habe ihn mir gerade bestellt (in Deutschland bei Amazon 299,00 €). Ich mache viele Koch Videos die ich stark Ausleuchte ich hoffe das der Desview R6 auch bei den Aufnahmen gut funktioniert. Ein Tablet mit einer Kontrollmonitor App macht nur ärger wenn zu viel Licht in der nähe ist. Man kann auf einem Tablet als Video Kontrollmonitor sehr wenig erkennen. Bei Sonnenschein geht Garnichts mehr...diesen Sommer möchte ich öfter mal Outdoor filmen und mich nicht nur ärgern .....LG😀
