I definitely leave beyond my means :(
Most of my life, I've been pretty spoiled because my mom would give me money for all my expenses, so I never knew how bad i was at budgeting when my bank numbers are almost always negative!!
I recently got a job at starbucks that pays minimum wage, so I have to learn how not to spend beyond my means, but it's hard. Shopping has been an unhealthy coping mechanism for me 😭😭😭

something that has helped me with my shopping addiction is to apply the 7 day rule: if i want something on a monday, and like i really really want it, i choose to wait 7 days and if during those 7 days i think about it every. single. day. then i buy it. But, if I think I want to get something on monday really bad, but then i don't think about it on tuesday, and end up remembering about it on friday I just don't buy it. Because, at least for me, that means i didn't really want it that much nor needed it cause i barely gave it a thought during the week

I'm the opposite. I got my first job the summer before college and only worked a calendar month. I had made about 1k+. I gave $250 away to help in hard times, I spent about 300 on things like gas and finally splurged (plus my mom took har chance not to spend 100%😂) by the 4 month mark I still had nearly 500 when I got what I was owed back.

Keep a spending diary. Just get a small notebook, then write down everything single thing you buy, no matter how small it is. Keep this diary for no less than 1 month, at least 2 to 3 months is better, but even at one month, you will be able to see where you can plug holes in your spending. Also, I got a monthly budget book from the Dollar Store, it's call Home Finance Bill Organizer. It has each month, and I write down all my bills and what they are going to be, rent, insurance, electric, etc. Also any other expenditures like birthdays, or car tag when due, etc. It really helped me and you can keep your bills in the pocket of each month so you know exactly where they are. Also get on budget billing with your electric company, that way it's the same each month. There is a reconcilation month, so keep that in mind. Get rid of cable tv. There are tons of free movies at the library you can get for free and also lots of great movies and even tv shows on CZcams which are also free. Shop for cheaper car insurance and internet or see if they will price match. I recently dropped one car insurance that was charging me $119.00 a month to another who is giving me the same insurance for $51.50. I know this is long, but all this helped me a lot to stay on budget and I hope it helps someone else. I'm on a fixed income but I'm making it work. I'm also able to save money each month for a emergency fund, Christmas fund, etc. It can be done, but you have to discipline yourself. But above all you HAVE to want it. Good luck to everyone.

How to change impulse to buy good deals (mostly in thrift stores) for future? For exapmle - i found out winter overall who whould suit my son in next winter but i would spend money which i actually don't have. I know that but there is urge to buy because i am afraid that i won't find such a good deal in future when i will need it.

    Great videos. hank you.
    FYI:
Rents and utilities takes most of our income. I lived P2P, but I was happy to have the incomes.
I was able to travel, buy what I wanted, and I do have a budget to this 79th year. I help non beggars help themselves, and I still saved.
    FYI:
Thank you for your excellent videos and stay safe and blessed.
Expose all of these Greedy Criminals!!!
Thank you God for not making me a GREEDY and Dishonest crook. I paid my own rent, car notes, utilities , vacations, and I help non beggars help themselves. You reap what you sow, and stop thinking the rich, by hook or crook, are better than anyone else. God does not have favorites, and we go when the wagon comes. GREED and being HEARTLESS will and is destroying the world. Put a d before anger, and you get danger.
SOLUTIONS: DEPORT to the wilderness of Alaska and Siberia one way, and harvest their organs.
Decent people want to enjoy our cities, and we are not beggars, but want to earn our incomes.
    ALL LIVES MATTER!
