Very surprising that only 1 out of 20 come to an agreement at a settlement conference.

So that leaves another 19/20 cases. I’m guessing that of the remainder 14 have already settled before going so deep down the rabbit hole of employment law litigation. From there three will settle before opening arguments with the last 2 not settling at all. The information I use to formulate this guess comes from reading an ABA article on the subject of settlements in employment law.

Hey Vince, can you explain how the courts would determine joint employer status for employees only protected by the FLSA (IE local government worker), and how that would look in the EEOC and/or settlement? Would I be settling with both parties separately? Do local government agencies have insurance or do they pay out of pocket?

Vince! Please help!!! If a witness lies in testimony during deposition and they are under oath, are they allowed to be a witness in trial?

Are they admitting they lied? I don't see why they would be banned, and Vince always says "lies are opportunities".

I was recently fired for an untrue reason. The plant manager was known to want me out. I'm 66 years old. They made up a sexual harassment reason for firing me. I believe it was all about my age. The potential cost of lawyer fees is the road block. I think I can win the case if it goes to arbitration.

You should definitely speak with an employment attorney about your options.

@@JobAttorney I received a Denial of Benefits from the Washington state UI site today. I've been out of work for a month now. I sent in an appeal to it. They are now going to set up a hearing to listen to all sides. I said in the appeal message that I am VERY willing to take a polygraph test. Is that allowed ? I hope so, because that would be devastating to them.

Is Vince clinically insane, or is he actually a real lawyer?

      The real question is,
Don’t you have anything better to do with your time, every day is so precious.
