Many Ivorians went back home after the civil war and continued to mistreat Ghanaians, some learned English in Ghana, got visas to travel to America and continued to talk bad about Ghanaians when they arrived, those same Ghanaians who for decades smuggled all of their quality cocoa beans across the border to Ivory Coast, contributing massively to their economy.

Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana are siblings but they were adopted by different parents the French on one hand and English on the other hand. We do share the same culture, ethnic groups, native languages. Our ghanaian brothers have more in common with English speaking countries than with Côte d’Ivoire because they share the same language. Our two nations should definitely work towards a closer relation. Deep down on both side of the border we know we are brothers. Ghana and cote d’Ivoir are one!!
