The special kid hilichurl named Caribert is having an epiphany of sorts, and Traveler has witnessed something of Abyssal powers emanating from him. He stood there outside saying to his father Eide that it was all too much to take, then some time passed and you awoke to the father's call. Having seen and experienced the power of the Abyss firsthand, the man Eide (who eventually revealed himself to be Chlothar Alberich) has revealed something shocking to the Traveler. After Chlothar said that the traveler is a Prince/Princess of Khaenri'ah, the latter was shaken to the core, and then picked up the mirror on the table only to see the twin sibling's face reflected on the shard of glass. It was then that we realized everything that happened so far since meeting Chlothar was what the missing sibling experienced and was only shared in the Traveler's consciousness like a dream. Nevertheless, the revelation we got was huge and we can't help but share it with our companion Dainsleif. This cutscene is part of the Archon Quest Chapter III: Act VI titled "Caribert" with a specific subquest titled "Portended Fate", recorded in HD quality and English VA.

I just realized that the mysterious cave is actually the chasm before it turned into a mine, the weird purple glowing things making enemies stronger is just like what happened to caribert and even the battle music is the same

@@Soulcaptor6998 The chasm scene with the Inteyvat fits better with Aether contextually than it did with Lumine, my housemate picked Lumine and I'm an Aether fanboy myself. Even my housemate was disappointed in the Lumine variant.

So... a little spoilery for Honkai Impact but Kiana the character who is the logo for that game, is the main character and she's about to sacrifice herself to put a stop to Honkai forever on Earth.
It could be that in the end Paimon too will need to make that hard choice to save the Traveler.
This “sinner” is really strange. They’re clearly an extremely powerful entity, probably stronger than the archons as they are pure abyss power. It actually seems like a threat to celestia, so I’m confused what happened to celestia that they’ve been silent all this time while the abyss and fatui are riling against them.
I suspect the sinner is The Second Who Came. I think it’s that alien entity that fought The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, AKA The Primordial One.
That or its Rhinedottir/Gold and she somehow found a way to ascend as a mortal.

I know there’s absolutely no evidence that proves this theory. But what if the “sinner” Is meant to be one of the 4 shades? The way I imagined it is that when the Primordial One made the 4 shades the one who becomes the “sinner” would have govern what would be the Abyss. But the Abyss corrupted the “sinner” causing it to turn its back on The Primordial One.

I think we saw through the events of the abyss twin. And the traveler isn't the abyss. Its known this happened years ago meaning the traveler saw through the eyes of the abyss twin during one of her adventures.

I called it the second paimon started being really sweet with us. Knew she would be separated from us. Dain kept saying he had memories of that place and Then the second the loading screen happened I knew we were transported to a domain that was set in traveller’s sibling’s journey days with him. Dainsleif’s encounter with us only confirmed it for me. Why am I here you ask? Its nearing 5am and my brain started to give up the second I saw the “room flipping mechanisms” in the chasm section. They’re not hard, but it really flicked a switch in my brain “why are you PLAYING a quest you have predicted BY damaging you sleeping schedule?” Like I love the story come on, and I’m the type to pull an all-nighter, but that really flicked the “what am I doing with my life” im ngl 😂

It was the very first thing that happened after we fell asleep and woke up in our twin’s past. “You have tear stains. You were dreaming of your sibling.” Scene. That wasn’t present dain but *past* dain.
Remember the only reason we visited that place was because dain had distorted memories of being there. He just didn’t experience the caribert adventure.

This is one of the shortest archon quest yet still having so much impact than some longer ones.
I already speculated that it was a dream or memory because:
1. You can't teleport to other places just like in the samsara quest.
2. Paimon was missing. She also talked about our relationship with her or being separated which is sus.
3. Suddenly, there is Clothar which is from Khaenri'ah that is rare to see and also the place around us suddenly changes.
4. The forest rangers don't recognize the traveler.
5. Most obvious one is the mirror that's when I am sure that it is a form of dream or memory.
Also, this happens in Sumeru which is not new to us to experience a quest that tricks our mind (Samsara, Fight with Wanderer). Overall, I'm very happy because of the bunch of lore we got but still, there are many unanswered questions. I will just wait for Ashikai to upload her lore video about this quest.
From this, we should also be able to extrapolate and confirm that the Abyss sibling's memories truly are within Irminsul as the leylines caused this event to occur right?
But then why would her memories of this time period persist when she also originally came from outside Teyvat? Could it be related to "The Sinner". Dainsleif also tells us that "He" has seen us and that it a pretty big problem which also suggests that "He" may have the power to alter leylines and manipulate them as well, leading to the sibling's memories persisting in the leylines at this time period?
This is all such a pain to process
I shouldn't forget, the campfire we lit may have some correlation as well, but I may be looking too far into it.
I'm probably overthinking it, but i noticed that the cave near the archon statue which normally leads to the chasm lead us to a different place with Khaenriah architecture. That got me thinking, if the chasm didn't exist back then, how did it even come to be? Also, are those ruins deep inside the chasm what's left of the place we visited in the new quest?
@@lumsalo it was the past so it was there. most likely due to time the pathway to that area became covered up and a new path was created, this time going through the mountain into the chasm. remember that tunnel is on the outskirts of the chasm and is pretty long

SPOILERS if you have not done the questline.
We don't know why they joined the abyss yet, this quest pretty much just introduces where and how this "Loom of Fate" term came from. Since we were playing from our siblings POV we could tell they did not originally agree with it, the traveler supports this at the end too where they mentioned their sibling ultimately ended up siding with the Abyss. What changed their mind is still up in the air (unless they somehow immediately gave in after Eide's speech).
@@clover00000so basically everything that we experienced in this quest was from the pov of the abyss twin *before* they were actually on the abyss’ side. The ley line problem that dain went to deal with affected the traveler while they were sleeping and ended up showing them memories of the beginning of the abyss twins contemplation. I say contemplation bcuz we still don’t know what made them join, but now we know that they at LEAST have a reason to believe the abyss’ power can save the ppl of khaenriah, bcuz it somehow woke up a hilichurls consciousness and “eide” started pressuring them to be their successor for the abyss. This would be around the time dain first hears the words “loom of fate” from the abyss twin all those years ago, when they were first traveling together.
This cutscene for some reason gave me the goosebumps. I wish the quest was a little longer.

When I saw this cutscene, I was shocked and couldn't believe that aether was in lumine's role without notice in that dream. It felt like a strange and unbelievable nightmare. I hope genshin impact will continue this sibling story because it's getting more and more interesting and mysterious
This Archon Quest legit left me with even more questions. Right in the end I was like: "Wait, that was it??"
Now I love Genshin's Lore even more.

Regarding prince /princess of abyss : the sibling we are searching for is the prince / princess depending on the mc ( main character) selected
When Lumine and Aether got separated at the beginning of the game, Lumine did travel the world of Tevyat with Dainsleif as her companion. Then something happened that made her become the leader of the Abyss Order, likely as a succesor after Chlothar/ founded it.
This scene was Aether reliving Lumine's memory for unknown reason, (my theory) likely because of their connected conscience as a twin or maybe a leyline anomaly that affected him when he was unconscious.

Here's a funny thing, Lumine and Aether are not the same character.
If you go to a domain, the game strictly forbids you from using the same character as someone else. But if you use Aether and someone uses Lumine, the game does not complain.
I theorised that at some point, you will get access to Lumine as a separate character (if you chose Aether and vice versa). Conjecture, but if we do get the other sibling, it won't be as a skin.

Dainsleif stated to remove the curse is to change fate. We saw eide's skeleton. Meaning he removed the curse bacause of the crystal. This crystal being might be the single most powerful thing we've ever seen in the story. As for the female skeleton. Idk lol

So this is what we get now from this archon mission:
.this was something that the sibling lived
.people with kaenrhya blood were cursed with inmortality and foreigners who lived in kaenrhya were turned into hirichuls
.alberich and his wife broke the curse and their bodies are buried in the yard of that house (this is very important because it tell us that the abbys have power even for break that powerfull curse)
.kaenrhya people were no saints at all, because they wanted to have complete control with the help of the abbys power, so thats maybe a reason for the fall
.Kaeya is a very sus person now, because he is a descendant of alberich

It was the memory of the abyss sibling. We were having a memory trip here. Like a dream.
I knew the sudden, unusual wholesome interaction with Paimon was foreshadowing something dark or angsty, this is the way of hoyo, I guess-
This is just a theory, I could be totally wrong about it, but that "Sinner" we have meet reminds me so much about the dark message we found in the chasm.
For those who don't know, there were many dark writings in the underground of the chasm, combining these give us an interesting but dark message, it's like an invitation to join the abyss order.
Basically the message says that Celestia uses the thorns to judge them (Khaenri'ah), and whoever wrote this message knows the pain that their people have suffered, and calls upon the living (maybe survivors who are cursed with inmortality and the monsters like hilichurls) to join them into the abyss to prevent more shedding tears.
The modus operandi of the sinner is the same: Uses your anger and your resentment towards the heavens to seduce you with his dark powers and invites you to join him, and maybe to suffer the curse no longer.

Interesting thing to note is that the element on lumine’s belt was white. Which is odd considering that she already had her power prior to finishing her journey considering that we took the same journey
Maybe it's for convenience sake, hoyo just got lazy in syncing whatever our traveler's element we have active with the twin
Maybe it foreshadows an omni-element that we will get after visiting all 7 regions? You know, like the one used in the TCG

That scene was such a plot twist i wouldn't have expected
I started putting two and two together around the middle of the quest so the twist itself didn’t surprise me, but the cutscene was so dang intense and impactful. It may be short, but it’s probably my favorite in the entire game. The anguish and emotion is shown pretty dang near perfect and leaves such a lasting impact on the player. The broken mirror adds so much to it as well. I could go on forever about how much I love this scene, but I’ll stop now lol

I didn't really appreciate Paimon before, I just thought eh she's just there because the game needs a mascot and stuff, but man it's so weird not having paimon around. I know this is all programmed and stuff but still, I actually missed paimon in this quest
