"My sister came over to meet our new black lab puppy! My sister was in love with the puppy's cuteness and wanted to record her with my phone! The puppy, Kimi, was sleepy and not in the mood for all our attention! I was giving her kisses and we discovered quickly that she was not a fan! But by the end of the video, Kimi accepted the kisses! She loves hugs and kisses now!"

Putting your face in another dogs face is naturally a sign of aggression to them. They have learned to adapt to people doing it as a sign of affection. The pooch is still a pup therefore it has to adjust, this is why so many people get bite in the face by dogs, especially kids. Live and learn.✌🏾

@@pigeon_manpp it's the opposite, they need to desensitize the dog so it'll get used to other people's face getting close to her. if they don't do this since the early age, she's gonna bite someone's face off when she grows up. I can't imagine if a baby or toddler crawls up to her face and she gets irritated, that's terrifying
@@sherine9033 it doesn't work most of the time for that issue. Most dogs I've worked with who bite or are aggressive like chihuahuas are aggressive from people getting too much in their space constantly without releasing that pressure.
@@sherine9033 teach your stupid kids to behave... I have a rescue lab that was abused by stupid kids. Socialise the kids and teach them lessons instead of forcing animals to things they clearly don't like. She was forced to be hugged by kids, squeezed and now she hates them and every scream is triggering her. kids are a nightmare especially when their stupid ass parents aren't teaching them lessons. I gave her space, comfort and CALM and that's what she needed to recover and get well again. For her comfort I'm not getting kids and I understand her very well because I hate kids too😂 Every creature has it's temper and accept it or don't get animals at all.
Don't forget how much sharper a dog's hearing is than humans!! Also how much stronger their sense of smell is too!!

Get someone to repeatedly and loudly kiss your ear, then bear in mind their hearing is far more sensitive than humans; I can understand why she doesn't like it.

It’s important to desensitize a puppy, so if they don’t like something that you do, but it is T harmful to them, then you continually perform the same action so that they get used to it. It’s the same with socializing a puppy. If they don’t like other people or other animals, you still have to bring them around people and animals so that they get used to it and learn that it’s safe and okay.

@@MsKatieBo - Yes always. Desensitization and socialization is not only necessary but essential for all puppies. This pup was just not used to being kissed and cuddled like that but it's essential that the owners continue to get him (or her) used to it along with other common touches. For example I'm sure the pup won't like his teeth being brushed for the first time or having his nails clipped or his eyes cleaned but does that mean you should stop? Absolutely not!! You're setting yourself and your dog up for big trouble in the future if you don't train them properly and nip behaviour like this in the bud when they're young. It's cute now when a puppy nips at your nose but it won't be cute in the least once they're fully grown.

It’s tricky, because when a puppy bites in response to not liking something and then you stop doing whatever it is, it lets the puppy know that biting will ultimately result in him getting his way.
That's exactly how it should be. It's a dog. It's natural response to something it doesn't like is to bite. Karen here needs to learn boundaries. The dog doesn't freakin like it, so stop doing it. We can't deny a dogs natural idiosyncrasies because they can't verbalize like we can. The dog biting is it speaking "stop. I don't like that."
@@jaybird0312 right, but what I’m saying can be dangerous is when a puppy doesn’t grow out of the biting to say “stop I don’t like it” when experiencing any slight discomfort, and becomes a fully grown, large dog that bites excessively and to the point of inflicted injury. Basically, there should be a balance. A friend of mine raised a stray puppy from birth, allowed it to bite freely and without any correction whatsoever, and now the dog snaps anytime she tries to pick up his toys, clean his food bowl, or even if she pats him when he simply “doesn’t feel like it.” Biting when overstimulated shouldn’t become this domestic dog’s FIRST course of action. He wasn’t being restrained, he’d only been sitting on the floor. She leaned down to pet him and rather than leaving the room, he just opted immediately for violence, resulting in her needing stitches. The danger of allowing that degree of aggression lies not only in how it might harm others, but how it can harm the dog itself, as many states require that biting dogs be euthanized. Correcting excessive biting can quite literally save a dog’s life. So, while I’m not necessarily saying that she should continue to provoke and and overstimulate this young puppy by pushing his boundaries, doing the OPPOSITE and being entirely hands off in minimizing biting behavior can be just as detrimental. She isn’t going about it the right way, but it does need to be addressed.

I have an 8 year old black lab. They are the best. They are so cute babies till the end. This video makes me tear up a bit because you always love that time when they are a puppy and I know my dogs time will be up sooner than later and it is such a shame they live so short.

I don't blame that dog one bit. Those two ladies are extremely annoying. Sometimes an animal wants to be left alone and not treated like a toy object constantly.
this dog has probably been alive for less than 6 months, do you honestly think it has any of the considerations that you just expressed? Do you even believe it recognizes itself, or that it's alive, or that it is a dog? No, it has no idea. It's reactions of growling are instinctive and reactionary at absolute best, it has no understanding of its surroundings whatsoever and if it will be a household pet it should learn to get acquainted being around other humans that will want to show affection to it. If the dog isn't okay with that, that's not a problem, it can fend for itself in the wild.

Some dogs(some animals in general) don't like kisses, that doesn't make them a bad dog. You can teach your animal to behave without making them do something they don't like, likely the sucking sound that comes from kissing is annoying the puppy's ears so it understandably doesn't like it.

I had a puppy that didn't like my kisses. She was the toughest dog ive ever owned in my life. She was a huge cuddler, but just didn't like too much affection because she was a "bad mofo" by nature lol. Love you Coco, I miss you so much ❤

My pit will kiss you regardless of whether you want it or not. And he goes for your mouth. And he's a tonguer too so you have to be on guard. He jumped up to my face just to lick me in the mouth. That was a gross surprise. I don't like to be licked by a dog, especially in the face. It's just gross. And I dearly love my dog, I just can't deal with that dog slobber. He's just rude about everything. My son is 35 and my dog loves to walk up and literally pinch him on the ass with his front teeth. Not nipping but calmly walks up behind him and pinches him. My son just says damn it Boo! Stop that! And I know what just happened without even asking 😂
My half pit half boxer, Reesey, loves to be touched and get and receive kisses all the time. She is the first dog that I have that is completely not bothered by anything except being left alone. When you kiss her, she tries to French kiss you back….of course yuck!! She has complete trust in us and permits us to touch her anywhere. Even when she is eating or chewing on a bone, we could put our hand down there and she shows no aggression. I think most of these traits are inherited because we didn’t do anything intentionally during her training except show her lots of love, praise and affection.
My Moira is like that. She likes to cuddle, but if I get too mushy she growls. She’s just kind of a tough bitch by nature.

The most likely case is the dog is reacting instinctively in defense because it thinks it might be bitten. Her head is larger than it is whole. That's not good advice. What the puppy is trying to do is assert dominance by controlling it's own personal space. The owner is unwittingly doing the right thing, by getting in the bratty pups space. Ergo, enforcing hierarchy just like you'd see in the wild, amongst wolf packs. Alpha male, and female canines get into the lower ranking dogs personal spaces all the time in order to assert their dominance.

Honestly I've been working around dogs for 50 some years all my dogs have been rescues what I've learned is that they're very spiritual sensing they know when something's up as soon as they come into a room they know what person is not good and what person is wonderful they know they know

wtf are you talking about?! for one NO registered reputable breeders is removing pups from mum at 40 days old UNLESS pup ISNT thriving and NEEDS human help to survive, usually due to health issues with pup or mum rejecting one or more of a littler,also a pup at that age wouldn't be as big nor functioning in the way this pup is, and secondly this pup is at least 8 weeks old and well and truly past weaning and being reliant on either parent for ANYTHING other than comfort, just stop talking bs and trying to call a situation something it's clearly not...
