In this compilation video, we go over multiple clips from bear attacks, encounters and even charges. What makes these ''caught on camera'' moments so scary is the fact that they were filmed in remote areas like a forest, national parks, alaska, russia and canada.
Encounters with black bears, brown bears and even kodiak bears are actually way more common than you might think. They often happen to people who are hiking, camping, mountain biking or even hunting.
It just turns out that some of them were lucky enough to capture footage of these near death experiences that almost went wrong on camera and go pro. This leads to some very creepy videos.
Thankfully, many people on hikes carry bear spray, which prevents their bear encounter from turning into ''gone wrong'' viral moments.
Get ready, because these bear vs man moments that could easily be considered near death experiences are sure to give you the chills.

This past October (2022), my family and I went for our annual Smokey Mountain trip. In 2 days we had 3 bears in our front yard of our cabin. Then saw a cub later that day at Cades Cove. I have been to the Smokies probably 50 out of my 61 yrs. I have NEVER seen so many bears on a vacation there. No way I would ever go near them.

problem is, they come near us, lucky the one who stayed was easy, when working, feeding cattle and so on, i ignored her, walked just by her, she moved out of the way when approaching with pick up or tractor, the chickens even did not mind her, my shelty dog did by times chased her, nipped her in the heels, she did not even mind that, in the years i lived there she never became a nuissance

Afer nearly 50 yrs of Alaska living with both brown(grizzly)and black bears, it's my humble opinion that crowding and challenging bears is a really stupid idea. Bears habituated to humans can be the most dangerous. Never say never when it comes to bears.

    • @ertsixbarf

i agree, and not only bears, a bull can be just as deadly, even a cow can attack, those big animals are easy spooked, was run over by a cow one time, another time i get my belt of the pants hooked on the right horn of a cow, i let it be for a while, and did get a fun "ride" hanging on that horn, i felt like a baby even though i did weigh in at 115 kg, i just waited till she get tired and put her head down, what would made me slide off, that took a while, wow,

Many people in the videos had more luck than sense. Even bear spray and noise are no guarantees if you run into the "wrong" bear. And there are quite a few of those out there. Even young bears can kill humans with a (playful) swipe. They're not teddy bears, which people often forget.
By the way: The narrator is great. Calm voice and not a word too much. Perfect 👍

The man who thought something in that building was important enough to walk right by a black bear sort of would deserve whatever he got from that bear. I feel sorry for anyone who accidentally comes in contact with a wild animal but when someone is this foolish, I really can't work up much sympathy for him. I'm glad he didn't get hurt but it was pure stupid luck and not any sign of intelligence on his part. Whoever was telling him to slowly back away was giving him good advice which he was dumb enough to ignore. It's like people today think all wild animals are Disney creatures that they can go right up to and maybe even pet and then walk away unscathed. I hate to burst their bubble, but wild animals are NOT Disney creatures.
I don't know if any of the cities in Canada have this same law but there is a town in Alaska, it maybe ALL towns in Alaska, IDK, but it is against the law to lock your car when you leave it parked on the street. You MUST leave it unlocked so any pedestrian who encounters a bear can jump into any car that is nearby to escape from the bear. I think that's pretty neat.

Grabbing and climbing or pushing over trees is a territorial display of strength and a challenging display as it keeps walking towards them...at that point it was probably a good idea for them to run when they had the chance.. the bear was not backing down. Was probably a young male .. black bears can be From 100 to 500 pounds and brown bear's up to twice that size. Now that's scary and a small 150 pound bear has the strength of about 30 grown men..so you don't want to mess with them and are sooo tough if they find a hornets nest or yellow jackets.wasps nest the will eat and feed on them for food despite being stung. They do not seem to be deterred by the pain .. Best to leave well enough alone if you can!

Last time I went, sure as anything a young bear crossed the road 50 feet in front of me. He couldnt care less about me being there. That is the normal scene. Pure speculation on my part, probably wrong, but the bear may have been climbing trees to indicate that it was marking its territory. Human analogy: if you see strangers in your neighborhood, you notice, but if you see one in your kitchen, as it were for the bear, you may do more than just notice.

The scariest bear encounters end up with nothing left of the human but a mangled skull maybe attached to a short length of spine. Kind of like what is shown as a trophy in Predator movies. Just read the NPS report on Timothy Treadwell and his girlfriend. Smart people do not feed them and leave the bears well alone - its a really nasty way to die and if one eats you - it will guard its cache and will have to be put down on the spot.

One more if managed at it's feet makes it bezerk pounding on the burning Magnesium, it looks funny & happy to be forgotten by big pest.

Black bears will usually do everything at all cost to avoid confrontation but some when scared will charge...it is called a bluff charage for a reason. At the last moment they will abort the charge. They are smart, inquisitive and non aggressive. Take it from someone who encounters them almost daily living in a very high bear population area and has volunteered to get bears out of homes, restaurants, grocery stores and other businesses. Ignorance is not always bliss. Now if you are encountering a grizzly or polar bear...then beware...because even if you aren't considered a delicasy you might come across one that isn't so particular. In the US lower 48 almost all bear encounters are black bears as there are only a few states that have small grizzly populations.

10:38 Yellowstone says not to be worried about a bear standing up. It’s merely looking and assessing the situation not to show you how big it is. Other animals do that too like squirrels, lol, when I’m outside with peanuts are up in my window. If the bear isn’t happy that you’re in its space it would do what it does to other bears…bluff, charge, tree it and fight. People have been beat up and left alone it’s just you’re not a bear somewhat equal in strength. Bears, I’m told by people with much experience, aren’t crazy about people’s height and will assess that too. So, if you’ve got a couple of over 6’ men plus looking bulky with a knapsack, you might have a better chance, though nothing is predictable. Bears, like other animals and pets, have different personalities and experiences.
I’m not crazy about using terms such as “man-eater” and dramatic terms. Some bears don’t even eat meat just vegetation. It’s not good when a bear keeps following you around everywhere, though. It could be curious, it could be in predation mode and waiting for a good chance. It’s thinking. Some bears could have once been tranquilized or shot at and wounded or missed and may not like hunters. I once took a photo of a bunch of small deer laying around with a long zoom lens and when I clicked they all ran. Now my camera has a bird mode that silences the shutter click. A bear could have a kill nearby-you just don’t know the reason unless you find out.

Grizzlies and polar bears hunt humans. Grizzlies will stalk you and even pretend to walk away and then flank around behind you at full sprint once out of sight. Black bears are a common meal for grizzlies. Polar bears will learn human patterns like what time you like to take out the trash. Either will eat you while you are still alive and screaming because they have no need to dispatch you while they feast. But yeah, black bears are pretty harmless. I've had 20+ encounters with them and I don't even bother disturbing them when I see them. But now that I live in grizzly territory I have everyone carry their own bear spray and I also carry a 10mm in case I'm downwind in an encounter.
