Had the pleasure of meeting Danny Ric a few years ago. Really really nice guy. How you see him on TV is exactly how he is in real life. He’s been a breath of fresh air for F1 since he started and without him I don’t think the likes of Norris, Sainz etc. would feel so comfortable showing their true selves. I think WTF1 can take some credit for this new human side to F1 as well. They showed the humorous side of F1 that we didn’t really see before and connected fans to F1 in a way that they hadn’t been previously.
What are you on about? Plenty have shown the humours side of F1, just on the top of my head - Mika, Coulthard, Kimi...list goes on. F1 was much more interesting back when it wasn't about the car, but about the driver. I like Dani, but people kid themselves if they think it's about the driver in todays F1. It's all about the car and wealth of the team.
Tbh i find Ricciardo as one of the most open and REAL people in f1. I just love his charismatic laugh and his positive energy he always make around himself, he is always happy, he dont put succes and money first. Unique driver. Probably the last reason i still watch f1. Wish great to him always
