Nice picking, so if you made a set of keys to match the different master waffers and cuts you could maybe open somebody else's locks, in theory, since I know you not going to go opening other people's stuff.
Yeah, thanks for raising a very valid point. Pwning any master system by deriving the master key from a small subset of the change keys is a well known attack vector. The issue is that you need an unknown (but clearly greater than one) number of sample locks or keys to do it. In theory you could compromise any master suite by somehow getting hold of - say - two dozen lowest level locks and/or their keys and then working backwards looking for commonalities in the bitting...but I'm not sure that it would be worth the effort in anything other than the highest value targets..
Fantastic picking! Knowing the need to make your own pin-in-pin skinny pick was the key here. I could have spent forever with my shop bought pick sets getting nowhere. As a result this is indeed a tutorial. This lock is my long term goal, you just inspired me to work harder to get there someday.
Great video MM, very informative as always, I always come away feeling like I know _alot_ more about locks. Also great to see you've fixed your vice :)
Nice job picking this lock. They have raised their prices so much. I'd advise an Abloy Protect 2. A few claim to have picked these locks.... Merry Christmas too you and God bless 🙏🎄
Still a great vid,1st class lock and 1st class pick. Just as a after thought At the end of the vid when explaining the pins ,showing the key may help A beginner,THANKS again, bill.
