The deliberately slow movement of the camera and lack of ambient sounds outside of bassy rumblings and static, the holding a button to sleep and make yourself vulnerable, the easy over-consumption of pills that may effect whatever the hell is going on, the kids' general freakiness... Yeah, this is hitting all those "hide in the comment section" vibes for me; i love it.

The "Death of your children is permanent and CAN NOT be reversed" combined with the text about Tommy's medical records makes me very suspicious.
I'm really attached to these kids and really want them to be safe despite having no parental instinct whatsoever. That's the mark of a good game, I think.

@@fukkthisnewupdate8882 I was going to say something like this. I think since kids are mostly safe these days it's rare to see one in true distress. The "I don't have paternal instincts" folks I'm confident would jump in if there was a true threat to a stranger's kid. For the most part kids are just vibing and not doing anything in particular to set that instinct off. If you're almost never in a situation to trigger it I could see someone thinking it's just not in there.

I took her overuse of pills as a sign of her depressed state. Like she's so emotionally unstable that she doesn't care about the dosage and just takes them all regardless.

Can I just say that as a big horror fan your channel is a blessing. You have a really nice voice while most people who play these games scream in the mic every two seconds. You also play a lot of underrated or unknown horror games which is really cool. Keep up the good work man.

You don't have your spouse to help with the kids, the closing of windows, dealing with memories. I would be getting burglar bars on those windows besides the alarm. And a few deadbolt locks here & there besides keeping that stupid balcony door closed.
It's not just Tommy who represents a monster of undeserved guilt from another loss, but what looks like an actual creep terrorizing the building. This is really a keep-you-on-edge game. I'm confident you will keep your children alive & well... keeping yourself well, I'm not so sure. Poor Mary.

If it wasn't for the fact Mary seems to hallucinate heavily due to their mental state and misusage of medicine, I'd say it'd probably be a good idea to get a gun once an extraterrestrial symbol of your dead child tries to eat the other children.

It's probably metaphorical, but I really like the idea of a mother dealing with a possibly not-real monster as a representation of her dead child, but then a real ass monster ALSO shows up.

I'm VERY picky when it comes to bottled water as well. There's a specific brand that--isn't a shocker---is pretty expensive and isn't always available (again, not a shocker to me since nearly everything I like is either expensive or discontinued).

Manly's transition from Horror Game CZcamsr to frustrated, nagging mother was so total that I am certain there is more to this story.
I love how patient the mom is with her children. She takes them to bed, doesn’t get mad when they mess up their rooms, she didnt even get mad when Kayla broke their dads urn

This is quite unsettling, but I'm enjoying it all the same. The kids having jank animations makes it all the more bizarre. The monsters may be in the mom's mind, but they're still pretty creepy.

This might be one of my favorite playthroughs yet. The gamer instincts, concern for the kids dying, and acting like an exasperated parent blend together perfectly.
Manyly channeling his inner mom is way scarier than the monsters in the game.

I noticed during the sleep menu theres an extremely low bass playing. I'm pretty sure this is using the same effect that some movies use, where we get paranoid when we hear veeeery low bass. Some people can't even hear it, yet still feel the paranoia. This makes even the safe menu even feel unsafe!

the reason why the children look the way they do is because the are indeed 3d models with a pixel filter, its both to hide the choppy animation and accidentally make them look more terrifying

Okay so even with the filter that makes everything look wonky I swear a lot of the furniture looks really really familiar to the stuff I would place in House Flipper. I'm not imagining things are I cause I swear a lot of the furniture looks just like the stuff in House Flipper which I've put way too many hours into. There are a few things that look new but a lot of it I swear is the same.

Is it weird that the urn scene is what broke my immersion of all things? You can't crack open an urn just like that, because the pottery is only a decorative casing around the actual sealed pod from the crematory.

Not all of them are like that tho. Depends on how much cash you have. My uncle ashes are in a beautiful urn, but the crematorium folks left them in the plastic on the inside lol.
