    1) tbh the low end torque gives you more smoothness in low gear looking at the weight of the bike. This comfort you won't find in the shitty ktms although the Ninja rules.
    2) I have a 2016 model and it does have stickers '250R' on the pillion seat panel and new graphics
    3) The mirror is tight but it helps at high speed as it doesn't move.
    things I hate about :
    1) Contigo tyres are all fucked up
    2) parts are expensive and unavailable in the side stand...lol
    3) it's not meant for extreme cornering.
    4) it's over the budget and the sole reason it lost the market to ktms
    things I love abt CBR :
    1) Powerful ABS brakes thus ensuring safety.
    2) Seating position is very good for long rides.
    3) smoothness and stability even at top speed.
    4) CBR holds a different status in the market. Only boys with class own them unlike the ktms..lol
    I wish the 250RR was launched in India. it's the best 250cc bike in the world with almost 40bhp.

    whatever problem ppl say are not technical problem . all are aesthetic and functional . this bike is gem in technical part. i believe no other manufacturer can be at par with this one . my wheels clocked 25k still the performance is as new pack .
    the bike starts with single touch of the button in any weather . handling is utmost stable even at 140 kmph (though keeping to that in Indian road is not advisable and possible) with near zero vibration. low end torque is not good hence city traffic maneuvering sometimes needs extra skill but man once u start pulling from 50 kmph you know the money u spent is worth every penny and every second till u reach 150 kmph. the only problem i faced when decelerating from high or medium speed to low speed, press the clutch with throttle closed the engines shut itself down (not always). if the throttle is intermittently opened then this problem does not arise. this seems to be general issue with cbr 250 r as seen over the internet. Can anyone throw some light on it?

      RIDERS GOT TALENT you probably didn't make a pipe that's made with top end in mind, also you need a ecu remap incase of full system change if not that top end won't be able to be utilized, I feel like keeping exhaust for cities and stock for highways.

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  Před 8 lety

      You are correct HH. I am glad to know that you are one among the people who uses the mirrors wide open:). But by practice you can master the filtering in this :). I was in search of a full exhaust system for it. But as per the feedback I got from akrapovic exhaust guys is that, there is not much considerable gain out of it(Slip on+ecu remap+filter change). Also its bit costly when compared to the bikes whole price.

Is that worth buying a second hand CBR 250R? How's the engine performing after 3-5 years? I have been using a classic 500 for five years now and done 30K KMs. So, planning to trade it for a second hand CBR 250R. My main reason for the change is #1-9: Braking #10: Top-end pull. If you are comparing CBR with Bajaj or TVS, then definitely this gives low mileage and cost of maintenance is high. But if you compare it with other premium motorcycles like KTM's and Benelli, the mileage or maintenance is not bad. I am getting a mileage of 30-35kmpl. Maintenance cost is not high. Honda is generally like that. But you can definitely depend on this bike on any conditions. It never give up.Part are not so expensive and its readily available in almost all Honda service centers.

      @@kirandeep5717 Bro I haven't bought yet. Probably in 10-15 days I'll buy. Dukes are all different kind of bikes, they are for pure fun. I have Dominar 400 also, but I use it only for touring. For City riding I use Gixxer. I can't completely utilise Dominar's power in City. But 250 cc has its own advantage. The power is just fine for highways, and in City if you want to have fun, this power will not scare you, the power is just perfect. In a sense, I would definately recommend you to pick Gixxer over Duke. And one more thing, my God, my Gixxer's engine is smoother than my Dominar's. Let me be frank I love Gixxer's engine more than that of Dominar's. Suzuki have limited the speed to 154kmph, so engine life in a long turn would benefit the consumer as a whole. So according to your question, I believe 80-125kmph cruising speed will be good on this bike...😀🙋

      -Not much reliable product because of product quality issues.(Not the engine. but the parts)

      Hi, even i have CBR250R, go for RC200 for best pickup and tech among these but backbone strainer, go for CBR if you are concerned about after sales service and and good top speed, Mojo sounds best and got good power except service network.

But when search the newer models from 2015 doesnt seems to have this feature which is an issue for me😁. I dont know if they miss out or anything what is it from your experience? do u face this as same as me and is it fixed for the newer models?

      Sorry brother. CBR250R is secondary when compared to Ninja300. Single cylinder cannot beat a 2 cylinder Kawa. When compared to RC390, CBR250R has more comfort on long rides and stability over the bike. But performance is killing in RC390.

    Well, that exhaust cover plate is prone to scratches because of the design. On top of it's horrible design, the exhaust is the farthest part from the bike. Lying low, there is very good chance that the plate could scrap on the divider or other vehicles even if you clear the mirror or handlebar.

      @iamstrell  Před 8 lety

      Hi Pavan, Thanks for the comment :). All three bikes you spotted are great for touring with their own strong points. Below listed will be the extra bonus from these bikes, apart from touring capabilities.
      CBR 250R => Refined engine among all + Comfortable highway speeding (You will be relaxed even after 140kmph because of its fairing) + ABS option which is considered to be the touch of God for highspeed tourers.
      Himalayan => The best off-roader bike in India at the cheap price point. But you wont get the fun of speeding with this bike as compared to the other two
      Mojo => Good bike for the city since it has got a good torque. But windblast can be an issue since this doesnt have a wind visor compared to other two.
      I will suggest you to test drive all the bikes, atleast for 15-30 mins on it and take a discussion. Many things can vary according to your height/weight/and physique. Please let me know if you need any information specifically.

    -I just wanted to ask you if there is any difference between the new CBR250R (which comes with unwanted star shaped decals over it) and the basic CBR250 2011 model?
    -If so, which one is better? And, should I go buy the new model or can I safely stick with the 2011 model?

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  Před 8 lety

      Hi Ansh,
      My first thought on this is that, a second hand bike is always a second hand. Its 5 years old by now. And heard that Honda has fixed few issues related to shim and body vibrations later in 2013. But I am not sure about the technical details of it. Keeping a bike for 10 years from beginning is a great thing. But getting a 5 year old bike and then using it can be a problem for you. If you dont like the stars in the latest bike, you can carefully take away all the side stickers and paster the CBR250R logo alone. That will change the new versions to old one :) . I personally feel that you can go for a new bike, if you can afford it.
      Selecting your bike will be your personal choice. I will tell the strong points of each bike below
      1. CBR250R
      - Very comfortable long rides
      - Reliable bike for years
      - Pillion comfort is best
      - Not impressive low end
      2.RC200
      - Completely track focused bike.
      - Good for city, but not so impressive low end.
      3. Duke200
      - Good for city
      - Very powerful
      - But not so reliable
      - Not ideal for long journey
      - Absolute fun bike.
      You can choose the bike based on your preferences :)

    • @iamstrell

      First thing, there are no vibrations on the bike even at higher speeds like 140kmph. If any screws are loose, then it can cause vibs on fairings. Otherwise absolutely silent and refined bike. Generally services are done at a gap of 6K Km or 6 months of period. It costs an average of 3K per paid service, if you dont have any major issues. Apart from that, a chain lube at a gap of 700Km will cost 200rs. Thats all. Your choice is great. Make sure that you go for ABS version :). Enjoy.

      @iamstrell  Před 8 lety

      It can sustain in 3 digit for longer times. No heating issues or engine troubles. I have ridden continous 100Kms and all on an average of 120Kmph. Its highly classified as a touring bike because of the comfort that you get for long rides. Your shoulders, back and butt will be very happy after a long ride :D

      No problem if the bike is serviced correctly. Ask for the service bills.

    Hi, did you remove the stickers from the front cowl or is it stock? How about the mileage? Ever checked?

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  Před 8 lety

      I havnt removed any stickers. Its the stock version. This use to the 'Standard red' till 2015. I am getting 30kmpl in city and 35kmpl on highways. Are you owning one ?? :)

      +Strell thanks. The recent variant sport red version is too sporty for me. Yours is the best one i ever seen.
      No, actually i am planning to get one. But confused between re himalayan, AS200 and cbr. I have never test drove any of these. My primary aim is touring. What do you suggest? I got few questions, hope you can help me.
      1. Is cbr good for a 500 km stretch?
      2. I need upright position since leaning bikes ache my back. Is CBR one of those? Since i cant tell from many videos on CZcams.
      3. Are the tail lights LED?
      4. ABS is expensive and complicated tech. Can the normal version compared better to Himalayan or pulsar 220 / AS200?
      5. How does the clutch feel? Tight or smooth? My hands are very small!
      6. Are the electricals DC like on pulsars?

      Hi Shijo, I will suggest you to take all the 3 bikes and take out for a full day ride. I am like you and my primary aim is also touring. I generally get back aches from bad postured bikes. But as far as to my knowledge, up right riding position bikes gonna ache your back more than a semi sporty bike. Of all the bikes compared, CBR will be having the most comfortable ride followed by AS200 and then Himalayan.
      To answer your questions one by one
      1. Is cbr good for a 500 km stretch?
      A. Definitely yes. Once you are adjusted with the semi sporty riding position, 500km is a cake walk on this bike.
      2. I need upright position since leaning bikes ache my back. Is CBR one of those? Since i cant tell from many videos on CZcams.
      A. Its a matter of getting used to. You need to keep the bike for a day and check with your medical conditions.
      3. Are the tail lights LED?
      A. Sorry to say they are not, and old school bulbs.
      4. ABS is expensive and complicated tech. Can the normal version compared better to Himalayan or pulsar 220 / AS200?
      A. Please dont think that ABS is an expensive mod on your bike. Its a necessity for any bike above 200Cc. Himalayan locks its back tyre for all hard braking. CBR's ABS comes from Nissin, which is an already proved ABS system. You can blindly invest on it. People who has bought the non-ABS variants are now regretting for that decision.
      5. How does the clutch feel? Tight or smooth? My hands are very small!
      A. Under 500cc motorcycles in India, CBR's clutch is the lightest of all. Its very comfortable and you will feel uncomfortable when you switch from CBR to any other bikes.
      6. Are the electricals DC like on pulsars?
      A. Ya they are.
      Hope my answers helped you.
      Feel free to contact me for anything related to this bike :)

    Hey +Strell .... can u just tell me what mileage wil i get if i rides CBR 250r in around 3000 - 5000 RPM in city in the top gear possible... ?? plz reply man....

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  Před 7 lety

      Hey Dhanush, I am telling this because I am personally using CBR. Please dont run it under 4.5K in any taller gears. It chokes the engine. If you ride it in 5k rpm, you will get a mileage of 30-32kmpl. Ride safe.

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  Před 8 lety +1

      Hi Sudeep. Identify whether this happens from your front suspension or you back suspension. This can be done by inspecting the handle bars and rider seat. This could be because of suspension oil issue. Either they has been leaked and its drained up or the suspension oil filled for your last service has a different viscosity which it has to be.

      Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. I will visit service station and get this checked. Otherwise, have you ever heard of this type of issue from any of the CBR 250 owners?

    • @iamstrell
      @iamstrell  Před 8 lety

      Not from any CBR owners. But from other bikers.
