Today I head off into the wilds to search a area littered with exciting pottery and fragments of history . It was a great day. We had a lot of fun in the mud and found some nice stuff. Mudlarking the river Thames in London, mudlarking Kent the Medway. We always have fun! Drained river pond

Those are some really cool remarkable finds, Adam! The cup you found at about 18:32 was a “ mustache mug” very popular around turn of the century when many gentlemen wore mustaches and such a mug would allow them to drink and keep their mustache dry.
Checked the comments for this. 😊
The Great Yarmouth cup has a moustache strainer on it, to keep it from getting too wet. Big bushy moustaches were very fashionable at the time so they started making those cups 😊
Wow! Amazing haul of so much history. Congrats to you and your friends on a great day of discoveries in the mud!
Hi Adam, this was a wonderful lark with Moon Rakers & West Coast . You all found so many different treasures this day. Fantastic work by all of you! Have a wonderful week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
That is a beautiful flask Adam. Can’t wait to see what you pulled out of the mud next week!

Theobald Road is in central London near Holborn, so I think it's the central London Queen's Head. What a fabulous lark

You found a mustache cup great finds ⚒️👍❤️⚒️
❤Luv ya bunches @The Victorian Mudlark ❤
I believe the cup you found is a shaving cup. Usually came with a handled brush to put your shaving cream on with. What great finds you all found!
Thanks for the info!
victorian mustache mug
The pipe is 143 yrs.old. Its an easy calculation for me, because you mentioned it was from approximately from 1880. I was born in.1980 so that's 100 yrs. and I'm 43 so 143 yrs. Lol I always enjoy your videos and thank you for taking me along on yours bottle digging adventures! Much love to you from North Carolina!!
Geez! You guys just keep shaking as the amazing finds keep coming!
Hey there. You sure have come a long way. I subscribed right after you first started with Si and Nicola. Love your shed and all your cool finds. Thank you
I love your mud larking adventures! If I was 40 years younger I would go with you! And the mug you found with the picture was a Mustache cup, for men with the huge mustaches, so they could drink without disturbing or wetting their waxed or curled facial hair!
some great finds well done
What a fantastic young man you are 😊
Thank you kindly
Likely already commented on-- that's a pumpkinseed flask (or at least that's what they're called in the US) and later, that cup is for men with staches- the inside bit to keep the whiskers out of the tea or coffee.
That sugar crusher❤❤❤
Cant find Words for you Alex just Lovely & Jubley
Wonderful video.
Thank you very much!
20:42 it’s a mug to protect a gentleman’s facial hair from getting wet 😂
Oh!😂
It's called a "Moustache Mug" and yes to keep the stash from getting wet.

victorian mustache mug
In the round up, I was waiting to see the mug you found cleaned up. You didn't know what it was because it had a piece over the top. That piece of ceramic is for protecting a Victorian or Edwardian moustache. The Man drinks whatever drink is in the cup, and his moustache stays clean, dry and keeps it's elaborate shape. Had you known what it was, you might have kept it.
*Adam, you got some really awesome finds... sorry no help on the bottles... but hopefully someone will be able to help you out 🙂 .*
Lovely emotional ending!
Thanks Adam. Good video.
My pleasure!
Bixby was a shoe polish, would have had an applicator on the wire set into the cork. Super find on the pumpkin seed flask!
What wonderful finds found by all! ❤
Grear video Adam, I have some catching up to do on the ones I've missed, love your videos and your enthusiasm for history.
Glad you like them Catherine!! 😊
You find are absolutely amazing 🤩 well done again
Thank you so much 😁
Great Yarmouth moustache cup keeps an extravagant moustache from being sullied by the beverage.
Love the ink!!
Me tooooo
Great video adam, looks like you all had fun. 🙂
Thank you Louise!! Hopefully you’ll be there Nextime 😉
3.20 the little figurine reminds me of a slip cast chess piece maybe.
I love the terracotta piece 😍
Ice bottles and finds😮
Awesome finds. Love the new hair!
Hello everyone. Wish I was there. Awesome finds! 😊
Wow, you all made out.
Wow. Lots of unique finds
Never ever seen the small rat under the pipe. Cool
Never mind the bottles, what about your beautiful curls!
Amazing finds Adam, great lark
Fantastic video 😊
Thank you very much!
I only subscribed to your channel so I can watch Alex. I subscribed to his channel but I saw more of him on yours. Alex is boss.
Wonderful finds! 😀 x
It’s a base for a flower pot 👍
The pipe with the castle on it is a Royal Fusilliers pipe.
Or at least I think,I’ll be sure when I see it in more detail, but if it’s a castle,it probably is!
18:47 seems to be a special beard-cup.
❤love your channel!
Thank you so muchhh
3:32 seems to be a girl on a chamber-pot. I have seen something like this with mudlarkers before, so it seems to have been fashionable to show girls in this pose at some time. There may even be a collection of different girls shown; perhaps? Thank you for sharing this experience...
I watched digging Britain last week and I'm sure they was on about 2 queen's heads and what one something came from.. sorry I can't remember more adam
I wonder if the mystery find could be a coaster?
Everywhere I looked online showed ISTAR or I-STAR as something to do with the world of medicine, however it is modern medicine. I also found it referenced to Ishtar, however, I don't see how that would work with a bottle unless it was a label that was made by a priestess, and this one is embossed. Now I am crazy curious, so would really appreciate it if you would let me know when you find out the answer. Thanks! Great finds you all found, Congrats!
P flow? 😂dave!
Hahaha
Shaving cup
That find at 25.49 might be to put a potted plant in to catch any overflow of water. And Adam why were you Staring? I thought you were Starring in this video..
❤❤❤❤❤😮
do you ever find minature cranberry glass bottles?
No, I don’t
I found this for G. Luce. Eau de Cologne
By 1874, as indicated in the advertisement below, the business had been taken over by George Luce for his eau-de-cologne business, which would remain there until 1900, when the shop had become established next door at No 42.
By 1900 the premises were occupied by Thomas Couch (1841- ), a hosier from Cornwall, although the exact occupancy over several censuses and in almanac records is clouded by the appearance of a No 44½ King Street, which seemed to be devoted largely to residential accommodation
I thoroughly enjoy your mudlarking but I have to mute the music, it's too much, for me. I still sit in amazement when you pull something out of the mud and it's 100% intact. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? 100+ yrs of being tossed in the tides, buried for decades and it survives. Amazing!
Where is Louise? 😔
She was unwell at the time 😢 hopefully next time
