- Chainblades spit blood and gore upon the sand, plasma and ion blasters make craters of men, and skulls are stacked for the skull throne.
The red angel decedns onto the battlefield with the fury of a thousand suns to carve out the very core of the planet. His blood curdling screams are the herald of the murderous World Eaters. Howling with an insatiable murder lust they only seek to drain the lifeblood of all unfortunate enough to stand before them as they make their gore-soaked offerings to khonre.
Standing in their way however, are the stoic and League of Votann. With enhanced weaponry, armour and cunning they will cut down the horde from afar to protect their assets and their kin in the name of their League.
Will the ancestral wrath be enough to destroy the world eaters before they are hacked into oblivion? Let’s find out in today’s battle report…

Just last weekend I had a casual 1200pt game against a friend and it was my first time fighting World Eaters up against my CSM Renegade Raiders list. Kharn and 10 Berserkers were stuck in with my Winged Daemon Prince and 5 Legionaries with an MoE for THREE FULL ROUNDS. Kharn and my Daemon Prince wiped every unit around them but spent a full round at 1 wound and failing to kill each other. It was absolutely wild and we couldn't stop laughing. They should have been dead for so long.
I will fear Kharn forever after the disaster that match was. We ended up tying 31-31 with me getting tabled on the final turn 😂
Katie is bloody hillarious, i love her puns and one-liners. These two are very emtertaining.
Beard couldn't charge the berzerks 1st turn and killed the helbrute cause you got out of a destroyed vehicle
sometimes the rules get in the way of fun and its best to ignore them. unless youre at a tournament but why would you ever go to a tournament

@@alexanderp3007in the transport rules under "destroyed transport" from memory. Your unit is battleshocked and you can't declare a charge.

Small thing from a seasoned World Eaters player, Kharn has built in fight on death, he could have hit the Sagitaur. Not sure if you guys did the combat off camera and it didn't take any damage but World Eaters have to get kills wherever they can get it. Great batrep overall, I think Katie did a solid job with the World Eaters
I thought so too but I check and he only fights on death if he dies from a melee attack, and the Sagitaur killed him with its shooting

I feel bad when I compared my LoV votann paintjob to these models...I've never seen such an incredible paintjob on them, holy crap.
I like the banter and the play and I hope you don't take offense when I say as I listen without looking "oi I it yew wif my chainaxe! I did! I did!" (in my inner cockney monologue which is laughable since I'm american)
I still just can`t believe the volume and quality, Fletcher and the team put out, when is the grand opening of your gaming centre?
We're starting to run ticketed events from this month, once a month for now with plans for more and bigger events next year 🙂 There's no plans for the Studio to be open to the public outside of these events, for now at least 🙂

I could be wrong but I think at 23:07 your beserks couldn’t have made that charge into the hellbrute as they had gotten out of a transport that was destroyed on your turn
19:12 I know it doesn’t come up often but you’d get plunging fire as the Thunderkyn are so far up! Extra bit of AP into those beserkers

Just a note for future, a unit that disembarks due to the transport being destroyed cannot charge. Easy rule to miss though.

Fun game! Votann really are in a weird spot. I can't really explain to anyone how they play, you have to play with them yourself to understand it. It seems a lot of people think they are good in melee, but they aren't at all. I like to compare them to Tau a bit.
Hearthguard and characters (namely Uthar and Champion) are great in melee
Hearthguard are quite mediocre in melee. They have 2 attacks each with no re rolls.
Moose are terrifying.
