Great job figuring it out. I just got my first CD player repair in the other day, a Sony 5 cd player. The repair was easy but when I went to test I realized I was missing a tool to test it with ...an Audio CD 🙄🤣🤣 I've been using Amazon Music too long, I guess.🙃
i lost a lot of audio cds and dvds in customers devices, i only have couple lift here sure i ll lost them soon

Twisting may cause print damage
i don have no problem with it, twisting the cap will not damage the traces or pads just dont pull it
Side cutters work well also if you dont want to twist.
