How come today’s Orthodox Church leaders have become deaf to what the fathers, saints, and councils and martyrs have died for in the past. What makes our present day so exceptional in their minds to past days?

First things first I'm not going to sit here and say they are ecumenism or not. Let's not forget patriarch John x Territory surrounded by a lot of Muslims of course coptis add some Catholics they all still have to cooperate with each other for peace let's just pray to God that they don't join the false Union☦️
@@TheHackingWeasel True. And there can be civil interaction, yes, but attending services at monophysite churches and sitting in their altar and praying with them IS ecumenism and a great violation. Clergy (and laymen for that matter) have boundaries, whether they actually abide by them or not. And these modernist patriarchs have been doing this for many decades. If they continue, they WILL go the same direction the papists are going. And believe me, they more or less already have because they FREQUENTLY go to papist masses and often can be found visiting the Vatican and go to their services. At that point they really can't honestly say they are Orthodox anymore.
@@TheHackingWeasel I don't wish to be blunt, but I don't really know how else to put this; the "they're surrounded by Muslims" narrative doesn't really work as almost every single day in the year we venerate one or more New Martyrs under the Ottoman Turks, which is something we celebrate; yet, the Antiochians, Ecumenical Patriarchate and so on, actively go out of their way to pray with Muslims. The Antiochian Church openly declares their support for Bashar Al-Assad's regime in Syria and Antiochian Bishops are involved in some of Syria's more popular political parties such as the SSNP. Other than when Daesh was targeting Antiochian churches a few years back, they haven't endured much in terms of persecution over the years and have state support, and it's not like they're trying to defend the Orthodox faith from the falsehood of Islam when they invite imams and muftis to come pray or even preach in their churches... Not to mention something like the Balamanad statement which has already created a union between the Monophysite Jacobites and the Antiochian Church.
