I own a 2019 Giant ToughRoad SLR GX 1. It is an amazing bike. Just rode over 1000 miles/1600km total since buying it. I bought it for $1100 US before the price went up. I posted a picture of mine in the review section. The cable-to-hydro brakes work fantastic btw.
Suggestion for the next comparison: take a little more the prices of the bikes into account. I mean you jump in case of the merida from the aluminium middle class model (probably something around 1500 euro) to the high class premium silex 9000 which costs more than 4000 euro if I remember correctly. In case of price/value ratio I dont know why you didnt name canyon. I am searching for a gravel bike quite a while now and I didnt find any better offer when the canyon grail where you get a complete carbon frame with a shimano ultegra for "only" 2.600 euro. Another bike I personally like too is the Wilier Tristiena Jena.
