Great comprehensive breakdown in this video and decent motivation!
Cold water always was hard to deal with for me, but eventually I wanna do a proper ice bath.
~10°C cold plunges after sauna was my maximum yet but i´ll get there eventually.
Over time, cold exposure reduced sensitivity to cold, created a thermal layer, and induced a surge of dopamine and endorphins. Also, consider pre-workout cold exposure to minimize muscle hypertrophy.
I've been ice bathing/showering for years, six years actually, then I suddenly stopped. No idea why, but I can say I discovered I was doing it for self motivation mainly. It is indeed something you want to do to get a strong kick, boost your positivity and enhance your tolerance. I've heard it was good for post-training muscles recovery, but then I've noticed a bit of stiffness though... I think I'll try to start again and follow your leads 😅 let's see if I'm still capable! 🥶 Thank you for sharing your experience
Thank you for watching and taking the time to share your experience! Let me know if you start again! It’s funny because I had a similar experience in 2023. I did it every day for 3 months and just stopped and don’t recall why. Good luck!
Brent Pella did a funny video about this last year, his ‘watches AHube one time’ video. Personally I just do a cold shower. Simple, easy. And I don’t particularly respect the Hubes after finding out about his double life. I’d respect him if it was an open marriage, but it wasn’t. Just straight up thinking women were second class seducing them without giving them the truth of his other relationships. (imo) I don’t like that type of dude bro who just uses women and wastes their time.
Hey Brent! Thank you for watching! I’ll check out that funny video! Can’t wait!
I didn’t hear that about A. Hube yet! Tough call because knowing that about a person changes how we see them. I do respect the science tho.
Yet one can still separate his maybe flawed personality from the crazy big amount of valuable information he puts out on numerous topics.
At least that´s what I aim to do generally with people.
Been thinking of doing ice baths again. Thanx for selling me on it coach. I miss the high and the morning wake up
You are welcome! It’s been a while for me too! I miss the high too. So great for setting the tone for the day. Good luck!
