Yes, back in the bank days, he would on occasion take a dink channel cat and cut it up for bait. It was effective at times. Here in Kansas we use live bullheads for flathead baits.

Change the sensitivity/gain settings on your trolling motor. Right now you have it set to "lazy", you need to make it more strict.
