I don't know much about music ,but when the left choir sang,it gave my goosebumps, that came with love from very deep
The clear difference between the two teams is that the right side was singing the notes and trying to make sure it all sounded orchestral and big. The team on the left was singing with emotion. Not just with their vocals but with their heart and you could feel it and that's what music is meant to do is evoke emotion in the listener.
One was singing from heart (kind like singing in the shower) and the other one singing in the studio booth
i am very late but the right also needed more male singers there was not a lot of depth in the vocals

i think this is the most amazing thing i have ever heard. the left: wow. so much soul. so much power. EVERY soloist nailed it. i felt moved. i felt chills. i cannot express how this makes me feel!!!
right: obviously all classically trained, and probably wouldn’t sound as awkward if they were singing something from, like, annie. or something. i think they have technique down, but it just didn’t have any soul.
it’s clear who the winners were.. but honestly this is an amazing arrangement and very pleasing to the ear.
I can't say one team is better than the other. Both teams sang the song in their style and it really is very interesting to see just how the song has evolved in so many ways over the years. Great job to both teams.

Its funny how the judges all commented on the guy with the pink shirt; he's one of the only soloists on the right side who you could hear the soul over the trained tones.

Seal’s entrance was epic.
Both groups were epic. Church choir had more passion while the other group had ridiculous harmonizations and even an overtone here and there. And then Seal started to sing and we all know that man is the real winner.
So heavenly ! a difficult song but they nailed it. Thanks to Seal...the magic was there in the end. Such a blended choir...' be blessed ' 👌👌

Left side won for sure. As soon as I heard 0:34 it was an instant turn off for the right side IMO. The girls sound like they come straight out of Disney animated movie songs and the boy sounds like he’s from high school musical.

The team on the right were nice - very technical and on point - better rehearsed...but the team on the left got the feel of the song more - and sang with soul. Can't rehearse that. That's why they won

The college choir on the left seemed to have a lower, muted, polyphonic sound; tight, perky harmonies on the right; great soloists on both sides. The left side captured the wistfulness of the joy of love a little too late in life.
