- This is the first #HopeForPaws in #WestHollywood - it's just not a place where we usually get calls from. Natalie, a long-time fan of our organization was on her way to work when she spotted a cat in a weird situation - stuck in a pipe, upside down! She immediately texted me, so I rushed over with Alex Babcock.

This rescue had to be done carefully so I won't injure the cat by accident, and also with maximum caution so that we won't get hurt in the process of helping.
During the whole rescue, I assumed Diva was a boy (80% of orange cats are males), but it turned out that this Dive is a rare orange female 🥰❤️
Diva is such a nice loving cat and it is possible that she is a lost cat, so we have to work quickly to try and figure out if there is an owner out there looking for her. Please LIKE this video so CZcams will show it to as many people as possible, and if you know someone in West Hollywood, please share this video with them... maybe they will recognize her.

However if she had a previous owner they didn't bother to get her spayed or microchipped so may be better off with a new owner
@@alibenkahn5092 Spoken like a true shortsighted city dweller. Not spaying is not a sign of abuse of itself and there's many reasons why you don't. Such as the cat being too young and possibly ran away. If we neutered all domestic cats the world over there would BE no more domestic cats as well. And feral cats provide a VERY important, and I cannot stress this enough, service in the form of pest control, otherwise cities would be overrun by rats and have plagues of them like some places in the Midwest North America is currently having due to their overly strict cat population control.

It's amazing that you were able to get the cat out without injuring her.

It always amazes me how easily you guys bathe the cats, our cat would literally be stuck to the ceiling if we tried to put him in water. This is despite him being fascinated by anyone washing the dishes, as he sits on the windowsill in the kitchen watching us, and he's the same whenever we are getting a wash or a bath.
Maybe these cats are more calm because they're in a state of shock.
If your cat suffered what they suffered he would have a priority shift.
The cat would be stuck to the ceiling after using you for a ladder.
I know!!! My cat Flash loves the bath tub faucet! We actually turn it on and let it drip a bit as he loves it. But, that’s the extent of it. When he was little, he accidentally dipped his tail into old grease in a bowl on my counter and he literally scratched my eyes out as I was bathing HIS TAIL 🤣 I am jealous of their easy going’s with bath time, that’s for sure!
@@missindependent1973 IKR? We tried to bathe Timmy (that's the cat BTW) when he was about 4 months old. Did it very slowly filled the sink up when he was out the room, brought him in, wet our hands and then stroked it, then plonked him in the water, and, nope he wasn't for it. We decided then and there, that he was clean enough. TBF he's a lot better now at grooming himself, so he really doesn't need it.

Eldad certainly has pulled off some amazing rescues, from unbelievable situations.
I am a senior, an animal domestic or wild lover, on a fixed income. I donate the "recurrent" or monthly donation on a credit card. The money is less than a few items in my weekly grocery cart for a months donation. I do have an amount I donate each month to include a couple of other sources. Hope for Paws make tipping the scales toward the good affordable. The people who rescue give not just dedication and commitment, they have vehicles, they have tires and maintenance, and they get animals to medical care quickly. Like firemen, the Hope for Paws team run to the situation, to the need, and sometimes to the danger. I love showing my granddaughter the Hope for Paws videos to see how rescues really work, rescues in progress. Thank you Hope for Paws for making just money into saving life.

Diva is now living the luxury life that she deserves! What a gorgeous kitty she has turned out to be and I love her soft little purrs and kneads. Kitties are such incredible underrated animals a lot of time! They are truly amazing give them time to trust you. :]

I'm always amazed that you can put a cat under running water without getting torn to shreds. Putting my cat under running water and putting my hand into a running garbage disposal are about the same thing.

We rescued a little lost feral kitten. He was about three or four weeks old and living up in my truck. He actually seemed like he enjoyed his bath lol. I've very rarely ever bathed a cat but he was pretty dirty. We've adopted him and have an appointment for a neuter and microchip in a couple of months.
Kittens yes, adults no way. My arms would be torn to shreds.
Just getting them into a crate for a vet visit I cover from head to toe. 😀

Diva came out of that pipe as if to say, "Thank you, I was ready to get out of there". I hope she finds a good home soon. My Catarina was microchipped and Curtis is to with the vet office as the place to call if he gets lost/escapes from the apartment.

One of the main things I love about all your rescues is that after a nice bath and some food and water all the kindness and love you all give those cats and dogs (and their babies) they understand that you all are helping them and they are very playful and loving you all back and in some cases can get some well needed sleep.
She's so so sweet! I really hope she just got lost and not abandoned, I guess if she wasn't spayed and let outside she ran off to find a male or something. Someone's clearly loved her, even in a stressful situation she was lovely. I hope she's able to go back home or is found a new forever home
